Magdusa ka won the most awards with four wins but it was Gabi na Kumader that won FAMAS Award for Best Picture both were produced by Viva Films. On the other hand, Nora Aunor earned her 15th consecutive nomination from FAMAS [1]

The Filipino Academy of Movie Arts and Sciences Awards, or simply the FAMAS Awards, are the annual honors given by the Filipino Academy of Movie Arts and Sciences (FAMAS), an organization composed of writers and movie columnists, for achievements in Philippine cinema for a calendar year. Members of the academy including avid movie viewers, fans or enthusiasts cast their votes on who should win the statuettes in the different categories they were nominated. Established in 1952, it is the oldest existing film industry award-giving body in the Philippines and one of the oldest in Asia. The FAMAS Award, from 1952 to 1982, was the highest Filipino film award a filmmaker or artisan could receive in the local movie industry.

Maria Theresa Rosario Garcia Nayve-Israel, known professionally as Rio Locsin, is a Filipino actress. Known primarily for her roles in films with underlying social themes, she began her career playing daring characters and eventually ventured dramatic roles in the succeeding years, noted for her portrayals in Lino Brocka's Ina, Kapatid, Anak (1979) & Init (1979), Elwood Perez's Disgrasyada (1979), Ishmael Bernal's Manila By Night (1980) & Working Girls (1984) and Laurice Guillen's Kapag Puso’y Sinugatan (1985). In 2009, she was named Best Supporting Actress at the Cinema One Originals Digital Film Festival and was inducted at the Eastwood City Walk of Fame in 2012, in addition to numerous nominations from FAMAS Awards, Gawad Urian, Luna and Golden Screen TV Awards.

Season of the Devil is a 2018 Filipino musical film directed by Lav Diaz. It was selected to compete for the Golden Bear in the main competition section at the 68th Berlin International Film Festival. It won the Grand Jury Prize for Film in the 2019 Filipino Academy of Movie Arts and Sciences (FAMAS) Awards. The film has a running time of 234 minutes. It won Best Picture at the 58th International Film Festival of Cartagena de Indias, Gems Section.

The 66th Filipino Academy of Movie Arts and Sciences (FAMAS) Awards was an awarding ceremony given by the Filipino Academy of Movie Arts and Sciences (FAMAS), an organization composed of prize-winning writers and movie columnists, giving recognition to the Philippine mainstream and independent films, actors, actresses, directors and production staffs for their achievements in the year 2017. The awards night is also produced by Ms. Donna B. Sanchez of Megavision Integrated Resources.
