This is a list of Danish television related events from 1962.
Television in Denmark was established in the 1950s and was run by a monopoly with only one channel available until the 1980s.
Ellen Winther Lembourn was a Danish opera singer and actress, best known internationally for her participation in the 1962 Eurovision Song Contest.
The Eurovision Song Contest 1962 was the 7th edition of the annual Eurovision Song Contest. It took place in Luxembourg City, Luxembourg, following Jean-Claude Pascal's win at the 1961 contest in Cannes, France with the song "Nous les amoureux". This was the first time Luxembourg hosted the event. The contest was held at the Villa Louvigny on Sunday 18 March 1962 and was hosted by Mireille Delannoy.
"Vuggevise" ("Lullaby") was the Danish entry in the Eurovision Song Contest 1962, performed in Danish by Ellen Winther.

Hella Joof is a Danish actress and director. She was born to a Danish mother and an aristocratic Gambian father who belonged to the Joof dynasty. Joof directed En kort en lang (2001), Oh Happy Day (2004) and Fidibus (2006). Her feature film debut En kort en lang was seen by ten percent of the Danish population, and her second feature Oh Happy Day, was sold to Disney for a US remake. Shake It All About was entered into the 24th Moscow International Film Festival. She has hosted Bullerfnis and other children's TV-programs, but was also the voice of the title character in the hardcore pornographic film Constance (1998). As an actress, Joof is best known for award-winning performances as supporting characters in such comedies as Hannibal & Jerry (1997), Den eneste ene (1999), and Humørkort-stativ-sælgerens søn (2002). Joof appears as one of the three judges in the Television Show Talent 09 a Danish adaption of Britain's Got Talent.

Sweden has participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 58 times since making its debut in 1958, missing only three contests since then. Since 1959, the Swedish entry has been chosen through an annual televised competition, known since 1967 as Melodifestivalen. At the 1997 contest, Sweden was one of the first five countries to adopt televoting. Sweden is the only country to have hosted the event in five different decades, three times in Stockholm, twice in Malmö and once in Gothenburg (1985).
Denmark selected their entrant for the Eurovision Song Contest 2004 in Istanbul, Turkey through the Dansk Melodi Grand Prix 2004. The final was held in the Aarhus Kongrescentrum in Aarhus on 7 February 2004 and was hosted by Natasja Crone and Peter Mygind. After missing out on the 2003 contest, DR returned to the format of 2002, with one final and no semi-finals. A total of 315 songs were submitted, with 10 songs being selected to compete. All songs had to be sung in Danish and translated into English for Eurovision.
Denmark participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2009 held in Moscow on 16 May 2009. Denmark was represented by Brinck with the song "Believe Again". Two other Danish-born contestants also participated at the 2009 Eurovision contest: Susanne Georgi represented Andorra and Yohanna represented Iceland.
Denmark entered the Eurovision Song Contest 1992 with "Alt det som ingen ser", sung by Lotte Nilsson and Kenny Lübcke after they won the Danish national final, Dansk Melodi Grand Prix 1992.
Denmark was represented at the Eurovision Song Contest 1993 by the Tommy Seebach Band and "Under stjernerne på himlen", the winners of the Danish national final, Dansk Melodi Grand Prix 1993.
Lise Haavik is a Danish/Norwegian singer, best known for representing Denmark at the Eurovision Song Contest in Bergen, Norway in 1986. She is also well-known domestically for her partnership in the duo Trax with John Hatting, her ex-husband.
"Fly on the Wings of Love" performed by the Olsen Brothers represented Denmark in the Eurovision Song Contest 2000. It was selected on 19 February 2000 at the Dansk Melodi Grand Prix 2000, performed in Danish as "Smuk som et stjerneskud". Olsen Brothers went on to win that year's Eurovision Song Contest in Stockholm, Denmark's second Eurovision win and first in thirty-seven years.
Denmark was represented by Ellen Winther, with the song '"Vuggevise", at the 1962 Eurovision Song Contest, which took place on 18 March in Luxembourg City. "Vuggevise" was chosen as the Danish entry at the Dansk Melodi Grand Prix on 11 February.
Italy was represented by Betty Curtis, with the song '"Al di là", at the 1961 Eurovision Song Contest, which took place on 18 March in Cannes, France. Broadcaster RAI chose the winning song from the 1961 Sanremo Music Festival as their Eurovision entry: the song had been performed twice at Sanremo and Curtis was chosen over Luciano Tajoli as the performer.
Denmark participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2012 in Baku, Azerbaijan. The Danish entry was selected through Dansk Melodi Grand Prix 2012, a national selection organised by the Danish broadcaster DR. Soluna Samay represented Denmark with the song "Should've Known Better", which qualified from the first semi-final and went on to place 23rd in the final, scoring 21 points.
Denmark participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2013 in Malmö, Sweden. The Danish entry was selected through the national final Dansk Melodi Grand Prix 2013, organised by the Danish broadcaster Danmarks Radio (DR). Emmelie de Forest represented Denmark with the song "Only Teardrops", which qualified from the first semi-final of the competition and won the contest, placing 1st in the final with 281 points.
Denmark hosted and participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2014 in Copenhagen after winning the Eurovision Song Contest 2013 with the song "Only Teardrops" performed by Emmelie de Forest. The Danish entry was selected through the national final Dansk Melodi Grand Prix 2014, organised by the Danish broadcaster DR. Basim represented Denmark with the song "Cliche Love Song", which placed 9th in the final, scoring 74 points.
Denmark participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2015 with the song "The Way You Are", written by Remee and Chief 1. The song was performed by the band Anti Social Media. In February 2015, Danish broadcaster DR organised the national final Dansk Melodi Grand Prix 2015 in order to select the Danish entry for the 2015 Eurovision Song Contest in Vienna, Austria. Anti Social Media and the song "The Way You Are" emerged as the winner following the 50/50 combination of jury voting and televoting. In the first of the Eurovision semi-finals, Denmark failed to qualify to the final, placing thirteenth out of the 16 participating countries with 33 points.
Denmark participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2016 with the song "Soldiers of Love" written by Sebastian F. Ovens, Daniel Lund Jørgensen, Katrine Klith Andersen, Søren Bregendal, Johannes Nymark and Martin Skriver. The song was performed by the group Lighthouse X. The Danish broadcaster DR organised the national final Dansk Melodi Grand Prix 2016 in order to select the Danish entry for the 2016 contest in Stockholm, Sweden. Ten songs competed in a televised show where the winner was selected over two rounds of voting. The results of the first round were decided upon through the combination of jury voting and public voting while in the second round, the winner was selected solely by public televoting. "Soldiers of Love" performed by Lighthouse X was the winner after gaining 42% of the public vote.
Lighthouse X was a Danish pop group consisting of Søren Bregendal, Johannes Nymark and Martin Skriver.
Denmark participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2017. The country was represented by the song "Where I Am", performed by Anja Nissen and co-written by Australian songwriters Angel Tupai and Michael D'Arcy. The Danish broadcaster DR selected the entry through the national final Dansk Melodi Grand Prix 2017.
