Inger Berggren is a Swedish singer. Her biggest hits were "Sol och vår" and "Elisabeth serenad", both in 1962.
The Eurovision Song Contest 1962 was the 7th edition of the annual Eurovision Song Contest. It took place in Luxembourg City, Luxembourg, following Jean-Claude Pascal's win at the 1961 contest in Cannes, France with the song "Nous les amoureux". This was the first time Luxembourg hosted the event. The contest was held at the Villa Louvigny on Sunday 18 March 1962 and was hosted by Mireille Delannoy.
"Sol och vår" is a song by Swedish singer Inger Berggren, that represented Sweden at the Eurovision Song Contest 1962, performed in Swedish. The title literally translates as "Sun and Spring", but the Swedish expression 'Att sol och våra någon', 'sun and spring'-ing somebody, means tricking a person out of money by false promises of love or marriage.

Sweden has participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 58 times since making its debut in 1958, missing only three contests since then. Since 1959, the Swedish entry has been chosen through an annual televised competition, known since 1967 as Melodifestivalen. At the 1997 contest, Sweden was one of the first five countries to adopt televoting. Sweden is the only country to have hosted the event in five different decades, three times in Stockholm, twice in Malmö and once in Gothenburg (1985).
Melodifestivalen 2003 was the selection for the 43rd song to represent Sweden at the Eurovision Song Contest. It was the 42nd time that this system of picking a song had been used. Five semi-finals had taken place to select the ten songs for the final, in Jönköping, Gothenburg, Luleå, Sundsvall and a Second Chance round in Stockholm. The final was broadcast on SVT1 and Sveriges Radio's P4 network. The show was watched by 1,230,751 people.
Melodifestivalen 1962 was the selection for the fifth song to represent Sweden at the Eurovision Song Contest. It was the fourth time that this system of picking a song had been used. One singer performed the song with a large orchestra and one with a smaller orchestra. Seven songs were submitted to SVT for the competition, of which one was disqualified. The final was broadcast on Sveriges Radio TV but was not broadcast on radio. Inger Berggren performed "Sol och vår" at Eurovision.
Sweden was represented by Inger Berggren, singing "Sol och vår", in the Eurovision Song Contest 1962. Berggren was selected by a national final called Eurovisionsschlagern, svensk final. Another singer, Lily Berglund, also sung the song there. The song was written and composed by Ulf Källkvist and Åke Gerhard.
France were present at the Eurovision Song Contest 1992, represented by Kali with "Monté la riviè".

Germany was represented by Conny Froboess, with the song '"Zwei kleine Italiener", at the 1962 Eurovision Song Contest, which took place on 18 March in Luxembourg City. Twelve artists and 24 songs took part in the German preselection, which consisted of four semi-finals, followed by the final on 17 February. Each show was held in a different German city.
Denmark was represented by Ellen Winther, with the song '"Vuggevise", at the 1962 Eurovision Song Contest, which took place on 18 March in Luxembourg City. "Vuggevise" was chosen as the Danish entry at the Dansk Melodi Grand Prix on 11 February.
Sweden participated in and won the Eurovision Song Contest 2012 in Baku, Azerbaijan. The Swedish entry was selected through Melodifestivalen 2012, a national final format that consisted of four semi-finals, a second chance round and a final, organised by Swedish broadcaster Sveriges Television (SVT). Loreen represented Sweden with the song "Euphoria", which qualified from the second semi-final and went on to win the contest in the final, scoring 372 points.

Robin Stjernberg represented Sweden with the song "You", which scored 62 points in the grand final and finished in 14th place.

The Swedish entry was selected through Melodifestivalen 2014, a national final format that consisted of four semi-finals, a second chance round and a final, organised by Swedish broadcaster Sveriges Television (SVT). Sanna Nielsen represented Sweden with the song "Undo", which qualified from the first semi-final and placed 3rd in the final, scoring 218 points.
Sweden participated in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2013 in Kiev, Ukraine. The Swedish entry was selected through Lilla Melodifestivalen 2013 which consisted of eight songs. The final was held on 6 June 2013 at the Gröna Lund amusement park in Stockholm. Eliias and his song "Det är dit vi ska" was chosen as the winner.
Sweden participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2015 with the song "Heroes", written by Linnea Deb, Joy Deb and Anton Malmberg Hård af Segerstad. The song was performed by Måns Zelmerlöw. Swedish broadcaster Sveriges Television (SVT) organised the national final Melodifestivalen 2015 in order to select the Swedish entry for the 2015 contest in Vienna, Austria. After twenty-eight songs competed in a six-week long process consisting of four semi-finals, a second chance round and a final, "Heroes" performed by Måns Zelmerlöw emerged as the winner after gaining the most points from both an international jury and a public televote.

France will participate in the Eurovision Song Contest 2019 with the song "Roi" by Bilal Hassani. The French entry for the 2019 contest in Tel Aviv, Israel was selected through the national selection Destination Eurovision 2019, organised by the French broadcaster France Télévisions in collaboration with the television channel France 2. The selection consisted of two semi-finals and a final.
