In its fifth and final year under head coach John Stiegman, this team compiled a 1–8 record and was outscored 222 to 48. [1] Jim Riepe was the team captain. [2]

Penn's 0–7 conference record was the worst in the Ivy League. The Quakers were outscored 206 to 28 by Ivy opponents. [3]
