The 1968 Cork Junior Football Championship was the 70th staging of the Cork Junior A Football Championship since its establishment by Cork County Board in 1895.
The final was played on 17 November 1968 at Sam Maguire Park in Dunmanway, between Canovee and Adrigole, in what was their first ever meeting in the final. [1] Canovee won the match by 3-06 to 1-11 to claim their second championship title overall and a first title in 18 years. [2] [3]

Brian Dillons is one of the oldest Gaelic Athletic Association clubs in Cork city in Ireland. It is named after the Irish Fenian, Brian Dillon and its original clubhouse was less than 100 metres from Dillon's home. The club is now based at the Tank Field in Montenotte and has playing pitches and dressing rooms at Lisnahorna, White's Cross.

Beara GAA is a division of Cork GAA, and is responsible for organizing Gaelic Athletic Association games in the Beara Peninsula in County Cork, Ireland. It is one of eight divisions of Cork County Board. It organizes competitions for the clubs within the division, from Under 12 up to the adult level. The winners of these competitions compete against other divisional champions to determine which club is the county champion. Currently, the following clubs are part of the Beara division - Castletownbere, Adrigole, Urhan, Garnish, Bere Island and Glengarriff. It has no senior football team so the only representative in the Cork Senior Football Championship is the divisional team. The division also competes in the Cork Minor Football Championship and the Cork Under-21 Football Championship. Beara is a Gaelic football stronghold, with very little hurling played, and no competitions organized.
Bernie O'Neill is an Irish former sportsperson. He played Gaelic football with his local club Adrigole and was a member of the Cork senior inter-county team in the 1960s and 1970s.

The championship was scheduled to begin in April 2020, however, it was postponed indefinitely due to the 2020 coronavirus pandemic in Ireland. The championship eventually began on 24 July 2020 and, after being suspended once again on 5 October 2020, eventually ended on 21 August 2021.
