The Soviet Top League, known after 1970 as the Higher League, served as the top division of Soviet Union football from 1936 until 1991.
FC Zorya Luhansk is a Ukrainian football team. Zorya Luhansk is based in the city of Luhansk, Ukraine. However, because of the Russo-Ukrainian War, the team plays its games at Slavutych-Arena in Zaporizhzhia.
The 1995–96 Vyshcha Liha season was the 5th since its establishment. FC Dynamo Kyiv were the defending champions.
The 1975 season of the Soviet Top League proved that Dynamo Kyiv was at the moment unbeatable for other Soviet clubs. Besides that, the Ukrainian club was one of the strongest on the international arena, winning the UEFA Cup Winners Cup the same year. Another Ukrainian club, Shakhtar from Donetsk, took the second place.

The 1964 Class A First Group was the 26th season of the Soviet football championship at top division and the 15th for Class A. The season started on 27 March 1964 and finished on 8 November 1964. Upon conclusion of the regular season, at the end of November in warmer Tashkent took place additional play-offs for the first place and the 13th place.

The 2021 Ukrainian Cup Final decided the winner of the 2020–21 Ukrainian Cup, the 30th season of the annual Ukrainian football cup competition. It was played on 13 May 2021 at the Ternopil City Stadium in Ternopil between Dynamo Kyiv and Zorya Luhansk. This was the first time the cup final was held in Ternopil. Previously on 4 March 2021 it was decided that nominal host of the final is Dynamo.
