The 1982 PBA Reinforced Filipino Conference finals was the best-of-7 basketball championship series of the 1982 PBA Reinforced Filipino Conference, and the conclusion of the conference playoffs. This is the first championship series in the PBA that was contested in a best-of-seven format.

San Miguel rallied from a 19-point deficit, trailed 70–89 in the third period, the Beermen relied on the ballhawking of veteran Yoyong Martirez, the hustling of Melchor Ravanes and the shooting of Manny Paner. Martirez took four crucial steals to move the Beermen to within 90–97, they seize the lead, 116–113, with 37 ticks left. Ramon Fernandez and Terry Saldaña scored on four free throws and Norman Black made one charity for a tie at 117, sending the match to a pulsating finish with 14 seconds to go, the Beermen worked up 12 seconds to set up the final basket and Norman Black responded with his jumper in front of the San Miguel bench.

The Super Corollas banked on a series of free throws by Donnie Ray Koonce, who hit 13 of his 27 points in the fourth quarter, Toyota exploited San Miguel's dilemma on penalty situation to keep the lead, 99–91 with 1:02 left. Anthony Dasalla completed a Black' assist under the goal and Rudy Lalota converted on a bad inbound by Koonce as the Beermen put their last stand with 1:42 to go, Toyota was in control by then, the Toyota fans spilled into the hardcourt even before the final buzzer ending the best-of-seven series.

The San Miguel Beermen are a professional basketball team in the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA). It is one of three PBA clubs owned by the San Miguel Corporation group of companies along with the Magnolia Hotshots and Barangay Ginebra San Miguel. It is the most successful franchise in the history of the PBA and the only remaining original franchise in the league. The Beermen have the most titles with 29 and the most all-time victories with more than 1,200 wins. In addition, it has won the Grand Slam in 1989 and the Perpetual Jun Bernardino Trophy after winning three straight PBA Philippine Cups from 2015 to 2017. It is also the only team to have won at least one PBA title in each of the six numerical decades of the league's existence and was the first professional basketball team ever to come back from a 0–3 deficit to win a best-of-seven playoff series which they did during the 2015–16 Philippine Cup Finals.
The Toyota Super Corollas were a multi-titled basketball team in the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) from 1975 to 1983. Founded in 1973 by businessman and sportsman Dante Silverio, the team - formally named Toyota Athletic Club - was owned by Delta Motor Corporation (defunct) and played under various names - Komatsu Komets, Toyota Comets, Toyota Silver Tamaraws, Toyota Tamaraws, Toyota Superdiesels, Toyota Super Corollas and Toyota Silver Coronas.

Donnie Ray Koonce is a retired American basketball player. He was drafted in the fourth round of the 1981 NBA draft by the Detroit Pistons. Koonce was a member of the Pistons' runner-up entry in the 1981 Southern California Summer Pro league, appearing in all 13 contest. He played 3 seasons in the Philippine Basketball Association from 1982–83 and 1986.
