San Miguel Beermen draft history

The San Miguel Beermen participated in the first ever PBA draft in 1985, selecting Teddy Alfarero as the first be drafted by them at 3rd overall. They then didn't draft for three years. They returned in 1989 by selecting Bobby Jose and Ato Agustin.

Contents

In 2012, they drafted June Mar Fajardo with the #1 overall pick. [1] He would go on to win multiple MVPs and championships with the Beermen. [2] In 2017, they made a controversial trade for the #1 pick with the Columbian Dyip. [3] With the pick, they selected Christian Standhardinger. [4]

Yancy Rozal de Ocampo is a Filipino former professional basketball player. He is the elder brother of basketball player Ranidel de Ocampo. He is a 12-time Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) champion.

Prior to the draft, they were allowed to carry over three players from their PBL team: Jay-R Reyes, Junjun Cabatu and Jay Sagad. Furthermore, they also took part in an expansion draft in which they were able to select three players from the other PBA teams who were not protected by their clubs, acquiring Rob Wainwright, Gilbert Lao and Denver Lopez in the process.

Alex Christopher Hale Mallari is a Filipino-American professional basketball player who last played for the Phoenix Super LPG Fuel Masters of the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA). He was selected third overall in the 2012 PBA draft by the Petron Blaze Boosters.

Garvo A. Lanete is a Filipino former professional basketball player. He previously played in the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) for three teams. He also won four championships in the NCAA, multiple PBA D-League titles, and played for the Philippines' men's national basketball team.

Clifford Marion "Cliff" Hodge is a Filipino-American basketball player for the Meralco Bolts of the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA). He was selected 4th overall by the Meralco Bolts in the 2012 PBA draft.
