NorthPort Batang Pier draft history

The NorthPort Batang Pier first participated in the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) Draft on August 19, 2012, one month before their first PBA season. The Batang Pier bought the original franchise of the Powerade Tigers in June 2012. NorthPort, then named as GlobalPort, received the rights for all of the Powerade's players and draftees.

Vic Manuel became the team's first draft choice, the 9th pick in the 2012 PBA Draft (draft pick was acquired via trade with the B-Meg Llamados). In 2014, they made their first-ever #1 selection with Stanley Pringle. [1]

Prior to the draft, they were allowed to carry over three players from their PBL team: Jay-R Reyes, Junjun Cabatu and Jay Sagad. Furthermore, they also took part in an expansion draft in which they were able to select three players from the other PBA teams who were not protected by their clubs, acquiring Rob Wainwright, Gilbert Lao and Denver Lopez in the process.

The import-laden Commissioner's Cup returned as the second tournament, while the Governors' Cup also returned, serving as the third conference which also served as an import-laden tournament.

The Meralco Bolts first participated in the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) Draft on August 29, 2010, one month before their first PBA season. The Bolts bought the original franchise of the Sta. Lucia Realtors in 2010 when Sta. Lucia disbanded after the 2009–10 season. Meralco received the rights for all of the Sta. Lucia's players and draftees. As an incentive of being a new franchise, the PBA Board of Governors gave Meralco the 11th overall pick.

Rey Francis J. Guevarra is a Filipino former professional basketball player in the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA). Guevarra was selected by the Air21 Express third overall in the 2010 PBA draft. He is known for his great athleticism, and is one of the most athletic players in the PBA today, evidenced by him winning the PBA Slam Dunk Contest for three consecutive years, from 2014 to 2016, then again from 2018–2019.

This was the longest in PBA history with 13-month span. The season continued to use the three-conference format, starting with the Philippine Cup, or the traditional All-Filipino Conference. The mid season Commissioner's Cup will continue to feature unlimited height limit for imports. The last conference of the season, the Governors' Cup will have imports with a 6'5" height limit.

The San Miguel Beermen participated in the first ever PBA draft in 1985, selecting Teddy Alfarero as the first be drafted by them at 3rd overall. They then didn't draft for three years. They returned in 1989 by selecting Bobby Jose and Ato Agustin.
