The Pakistan national football team represents Pakistan in men's international football in FIFA-authorized events and is controlled by the Pakistan Football Federation, the governing body for football in Pakistan. Shabbir Ahmad Usmani Born in 1887 in Bijnor, Usmani was an alumnus of Darul Uloom Deoband. He was the son of Fazlur Rahman Usmani. His brother Azizur Rahman Usmani was the first Grand Mufti of Darul Uloom Deoband. Usmani was the first to hoist the Flag of Pakistan at Karachi on 14 August 1947, and led the funeral prayers of Muhammad Ali Jinnah. His major work is the Tafseer-e-Usmani, which he co-authored with his teacher Mahmud Hasan Deobandi.

Anwar Ali (Urdu: انور علی ; born 25 November 1987) is a Pakistani cricketer who has represented his country in One Day Internationals and T20 Internationals. He was also part of the 2006 Under-19 Cricket World Cup winning team, putting in a man-of-the-match performance in the final against India. He represents Karachi Zebras and Sindh Dolphins in the domestic arena. He played for Multan Sultans in the PSL 8.

Abdul Sattar Edhi Hockey Stadium, known until 2016 as the Hockey Club of Pakistan, is a field hockey stadium located in Karachi, Sindh, Pakistan.

The event was previously known as Karachi Champions League which hosted only 16 cricket clubs from the city in 2010.

The 2008 SAFF Championship was an international football tournament held in Sri Lanka and Maldives from 3 to 14 June 2008. The national teams involved in the tournament were required to register a squad of 20 players. The position listed for each player is per the squad list in the official match reports by the SAFF.

The 1999 South Asian Football Federation Gold Cup is an international football tournament held in India from 22 April to 1 May 1999. The six national teams involved in the tournament were required to register a squad of 23 players, including three goalkeepers. Only players in these squads were eligible to take part in the tournament.

Younus Rana, is a Pakistani former footballer and manager. Rana played as a midfielder for the Pakistan national team in the 1960s and 1970s and captained the national side in 1969. He is also one of the players to have played and served as head coach of the national team.

Muhammad Naushad Baloch, is a retired Pakistani footballer who played as a forward. Considered one of the major Pakistani footballers of the 1980s, Naushad played for Pakistan Airlines at club level, later coaching the team. He also represented the Pakistan national football team.
