The Pakistan national football team represents Pakistan in men's international football in FIFA-authorized events and is controlled by the Pakistan Football Federation, the governing body for football in Pakistan. Pakistan became a member of FIFA in 1948 and joined the Asian Football Confederation in 1950.
The 2007 AFC Asian Cup qualification was held in late 2005 and the final qualification round was held from February to November 2006 with 25 nations participating.
Shabbir Ahmad Usmani Born in 1887 in Bijnor, Usmani was an alumnus of Darul Uloom Deoband. He was the son of Fazlur Rahman Usmani. His brother Azizur Rahman Usmani was the first Grand Mufti of Darul Uloom Deoband. Usmani was the first to hoist the Flag of Pakistan at Karachi on 14 August 1947, and led the funeral prayers of Muhammad Ali Jinnah. His major work is the Tafseer-e-Usmani, which he co-authored with his teacher Mahmud Hasan Deobandi.
Anwar Ali (Urdu: انور علی ; born 25 November 1987) is a Pakistani cricketer who has represented his country in One Day Internationals and T20 Internationals. He was also part of the 2006 Under-19 Cricket World Cup winning team, putting in a man-of-the-match performance in the final against India. He represents Karachi Zebras and Sindh Dolphins in the domestic arena. He played for Multan Sultans in the PSL 8.

The six national teams involved in the tournament were required to register a squad of 23 players, including three goalkeepers. Younus Rana, is a Pakistani former footballer and manager. Rana played as a midfielder for the Pakistan national team in the 1960s and 1970s and captained the national side in 1969. He is also one of the players to have played and served as head coach of the national team.
Muhammad Naushad Baloch, is a retired Pakistani footballer who played as a forward. Considered one of the major Pakistani footballers of the 1980s, Naushad played for Pakistan Airlines at club level, later coaching the team. He also represented the Pakistan national football team.
