The 1983 Cork Junior Hurling Championship was the 86th staging of the Cork Junior Hurling Championship since its establishment by the Cork County Board. The championship began on 25 September 1983 and ended on 6 November 1983.

On 6 November 1983, St. Catherine's won the championship following a 1–13 to 1–08 defeat of Aghabullogue in the final at Páirc Uí Chaoimh. [1] It was their first ever championship title. [2] [3]

Carrigaline GAA is a Gaelic Athletic Association club based in the town of Carrigaline in County Cork, Ireland. The club fields both Gaelic football and hurling teams in competitions organised by Cork County Board. The club is part of the Carrigdhoun division of Cork. Aghabullogue GAA are a Gaelic Athletic Association club in County Cork, Ireland. They are affiliated to the Cork County Board and play in the mid-Cork (Muskerry) division of Cork GAA. Aghabullogue cater for both hurling and Gaelic football.

The 1888 Cork Senior Hurling Championship was the second staging of the Cork Senior Hurling Championship since its establishment by the Cork County Board in 1887. The draw for the opening round fixtures took place on 21 February 1888. The championship began on 3 March 1888 and ended on 29 April 1888. Due to the increased number of teams taking part, a divisional system was used.
