David Ryan Adams is an American singer-songwriter, record producer, artist, and poet. He has released 21 albums, as well as three studio albums as a former member of rock/alt-country band Whiskeytown.
Zen Arcade is the second studio album by American punk rock band Hüsker Dü, released in July 1984 on SST Records. Originally released as a double album on two vinyl LPs, Zen Arcade tells the story of a young boy who runs away from an unfulfilling home life, only to find the world outside is even worse. Zen Arcade and subsequent Hüsker Dü albums were instrumental in the creation of the alternative rock genre, and it is considered by some to be one of the greatest rock albums of all time.
"Down in a Hole" is a power ballad by Alice in Chains, and the fifth and last single from their album Dirt (1992). It is the twelfth song on most pressings of the album and fourth or eleventh on others. The song was written by guitarist and vocalist Jerry Cantrell for his then-girlfriend, Courtney Clarke. The single spent 21 weeks on Billboard's Mainstream Rock Tracks and peaked at No. 10. The song was included on the compilation albums Nothing Safe: Best of the Box (1999) and Music Bank (1999). An acoustic version performed on Alice in Chains' MTV Unplugged in 1996 was released in a live album and DVD.
Andrew John Hurley is an American musician. He is the drummer for the rock band Fall Out Boy. Prior to Fall Out Boy, Hurley played in several hardcore punk bands. He joined Fall Out Boy as the full-time drummer in 2003 and was in the band's lineup until its hiatus in 2009. Following that, he formed the heavy metal supergroup The Damned Things with Fall Out Boy guitarist Joe Trohman; the group went on hiatus after its debut album, Ironiclast (2010), due to band members focusing on their original bands' new album cycles. Hurley moved on to hardcore punk band Enabler which released a debut album and toured in 2012.
Follow the Lights is an EP by Ryan Adams and The Cardinals released on October 23, 2007. The EP contains three new songs and four live studio recordings, including a cover of the Alice in Chains' song, "Down in a Hole". It was produced by then-Cardinals member James Candiloro.
Orion is the 11th studio album by singer-songwriter Ryan Adams, released on May 18, 2010, on Adams' own record label PAX AM. Described as Adams' first "fully-realized sci-fi metal concept album," Orion was released on a limited vinyl run, and could only be purchased from the PAX AM online store. There are no plans for a wide release, but as of November 4, 2010, Adams' new site paxamrecords.com is offering a standard edition vinyl that will also include the download card of the entire album. Those who purchased the album in its limited run also received a bonus 7" single.
Pax Americana Recording Company, also known as PAX-AM, is a record label founded by Ryan Adams. Established in 2004, the label released certain of Adams’ then-unpublished demo recordings. Following Adams' fulfillment of a recording contract with Lost Highway Records in 2008, the PAX-AM label became the artist's exclusive venue for musical releases. In early November 2010, the label re-launched its webpage and announced platforms for retail and the release of music by additional artists.
Smoke Ring for My Halo is the fourth studio album by American indie rock musician Kurt Vile, released on March 8, 2011 on Matador. A deluxe edition was released in November 2011, including the subsequent EP, So Outta Reach (2011). The album was produced by John Agnello, Kurt Vile and his backing band, the Violators. Regarding the album's lyrical content, Vile stated: "It’s just me and those thoughts you have late at night when nobody is around. It is more a feeling than a statement – a general wandering feeling. It’s kind of a wandering record."

Ashes & Fire is the 13th studio album by Ryan Adams, released on October 11, 2011, on PAX AM and Capitol. Recorded with producer Glyn Johns, Ashes & Fire marks Adams' return to recording following the disbandment of his band the Cardinals in 2009. Regarding the album, Adams noted, "The record is obsessed with time. I believe that there is a kinder view of the self. I'm passing through my own life as a ghost, and looking at these pieces and places in my life. I'm looking at California, and the idea of being lost and found at the same time."
"Empty Room" / "Nutshell" is a limited edition double a-side single by the American singer-songwriter Ryan Adams, released in June 2011 on PAX AM. The single was available to purchase during Adams' June 2011 European tour, and is only available on 7" vinyl.
PAX AM Days is an EP by American rock band Fall Out Boy, released on October 15, 2013, by Island Records and PAX AM. It consists of hardcore punk and punk rock influenced tracks recorded during a two-day "marathon" session with producer Ryan Adams and the band in July 2013 at PAX AM Studios. The EP was released on CD, digitally and on double 7" vinyl as a stand-alone EP, and also on a limited Save Rock and Roll PAX AM Edition (2013) double-disc reissue. The double 7" vinyl pressing was limited to 3,000, and released on November 29 as part of Record Store Day - Back to Black Friday. Each copy came with a code for a bonus song download, a cover of "New Dreams" by Naked Raygun. The code was found stamped into the dead wax of the 7". On September 30, Fall Out Boy announced the EP and its release date, as well as premiered the first digital single "Love, Sex, Death" with its accompanying video. PAX AM Days was the band's second release in 2013 after the comeback album Save Rock and Roll, and marks a return to their hardcore musical roots with aggressive guitar work, the "antithesis" to the polished Save Rock and Roll.

"Motion Sickness" is a song by American singer-songwriter Phoebe Bridgers. It was released on July 18, 2017 by Dead Oceans as the second single from her debut studio album, Stranger in the Alps. The song was written by Bridgers and Marshall Vore and produced by Tony Berg and Ethan Gruska. "Motion Sickness" was written about Bridgers's ex-boyfriend Ryan Adams, whom she later accused of emotional abuse, alongside several other women. In 2022, the song was certified gold in the United States (RIAA).
