The 1986 Atlantic Conference Baseball Tournament was held from May 9 through 11, 1986 to determine the champion of the NCAA Division I the Atlantic 10 Conference, for the 1986 NCAA Division I baseball season. This was the eighth iteration of the event, and was held on the campus of Rutgers in Piscataway, New Jersey. Rutgers won their second championship and earned the conference's automatic bid to the 1986 NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament. [1]
The top two teams in each division advanced to the tournament, with each division winner playing the second place team from the opposite division in the first round. The teams played a double-elimination tournament.

The College World Series (CWS), officially the NCAA Men's College World Series (MCWS), is an annual baseball tournament held in June in Omaha, Nebraska. The CWS is the culmination of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I Baseball Championship tournament—featuring 64 teams in the first round—which determines the NCAA Division I college baseball champion. The eight participating teams are split into two, four-team, double-elimination brackets, with the winners of each bracket playing in a best-of-three championship series.
In the NCAA Men's Division I Basketball Championship or the NCAA Women's Division I Basketball Championship, the "Elite Eight" comprises the final eight teams, representing the regional finals, or national quarterfinals. In Division I and Division III, the Elite Eight consists of the two teams in each of the four regional championship games. The winners advance to the Final Four. Since 1997, when the NCAA trademarked the phrase, in Division II, the Elite Eight consists of the eight winners of the eight Division II regions. Like the Division I Final Four, the Division II Elite Eight games are all held in one predetermined location.
The 2014 NCAA Division I baseball season, play of college baseball in the United States organized by the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) at the Division I level, began on February 14, 2014. The season progressed through the regular season, many conference tournaments and championship series, and concluded with the 2014 NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament and 2014 College World Series. The College World Series, consisting of the eight remaining teams in the NCAA Tournament and held annually in Omaha, Nebraska at TD Ameritrade Park Omaha, ended on June 25, 2014 with the final game of the best-of-three championship series between Vanderbilt and Virginia, won by Vanderbilt.
The 1991 Atlantic 10 Conference Baseball Championship was held at Bear Stadium in Boyertown, Pennsylvania from May 10–12. The double elimination tournament featured the top two regular-season finishers from both of the league's divisions. East top seed Rutgers defeated Massachusetts in the title game to win the tournament for the fifth time, earning the Atlantic 10's automatic bid to the 1991 NCAA Tournament.

The Rutgers Scarlet Knights field hockey team is the intercollegiate field hockey program representing Rutgers University – New Brunswick, the main campus of Rutgers University. The school competes in the Big Ten Conference in Division I of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), although it was previously a member of the Atlantic 10 Conference (A-10), the original Big East Conference, and the new Big East Conference. The Rutgers field hockey team plays its home games at the Bauer Track and Field/Field Hockey Complex on the university's Livingston Campus in Piscataway, New Jersey. Since the field hockey program was established in 1974, the Scarlet Knights have appeared in the NCAA tournament twice, placed runner-up in regular-season conference play three times, and finished second in a conference tournament twice. The team is currently coached by Meredith Civico.

The 2017 Atlantic Coast Conference Baseball Tournament was held from May 23 through May 28 at Louisville Slugger Field in Louisville, Kentucky. The annual tournament determines the conference champion of the Division I Atlantic Coast Conference for college baseball. The tournament champion receives the league's automatic bid to the 2017 NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament. This was the last of 19 athletic championship events held by the conference in the 2016–17 academic year.
The 1981 Eastern 8 Conference Baseball Championship Series was held on May 8 and 9, 1981 to determine the champion of the NCAA Division I Eastern 8 Conference, renamed in 1982 as the Atlantic 10 Conference, for the 1981 NCAA Division I baseball season. This was the third iteration of the event, and was held on the campus of George Mason in Fairfax, Virginia. Rutgers won the championship.
The 1982 Eastern 8 Conference Baseball Championship Series was held on May 7 and 8, 1982 to determine the champion of the NCAA Division I Eastern 8 Conference, renamed later in 1982 as the Atlantic 10 Conference, for the 1982 NCAA Division I baseball season. This was the fourth iteration of the event, and was held on the campus of Rutgers in Piscataway, New Jersey. West Virginia won the championship two games to one and earned the conference's automatic bid to the 1982 NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament. For the first time, a Most Valuable Player was named, with Jeff Wilson of West Virginia earning the honor.
