The 1988 Atlantic Conference Baseball Tournament was held from May 13 through 15, 1988 to determine the champion of the NCAA Division I the Atlantic 10 Conference, for the 1988 NCAA Division I baseball season. This was the tenth iteration of the event, and was held at Bear Stadium in Boyertown, Pennsylvania. Rutgers won their third championship and earned the conference's automatic bid to the 1988 NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament. [1]

Format and seeding

The top two teams in each division advanced to the tournament, with each division winner playing the second place team from the opposite division in the first round. The teams played a double-elimination tournament. West Virginia claimed the top seed over Penn State and Rhode Island claimed the second seed in the East over Saint Joseph's by tiebreaker.

2008 Atlantic Coast Conference Baseball Tournament

The 2008 Atlantic Coast Conference Baseball Tournament was held at the Baseball Grounds of Jacksonville in Jacksonville, Florida from May 21 through May 25. The #1 seeded University of Miami won the tournament with a perfect 4-0 record, earning the Atlantic Coast Conference's automatic bid to the 2008 NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament. It was Miami's first conference championship in baseball after having played as an independent until joining the ACC during the 2004-05 academic year.

VCU Rams

The VCU Rams are the athletic teams of Virginia Commonwealth University of Richmond, Virginia, United States. The Rams compete in Division I of the National Collegiate Athletic Association as members of the Atlantic 10 Conference. The most successful teams have been the men's tennis and basketball teams, which have had success in their conference and on the regional and national stages. The school's colors are black and gold. The athletic director is Ed McLaughlin. The official student supporter group is known as the Rowdy Rams.

The 2013 Southern Conference Baseball Tournament was held from May 22 through May 26 at Fluor Field at the West End in Greenville, South Carolina. Saint Louis earned the conference's automatic bid to the 2013 NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament. As a team, SLU collected 92 hits in six days, shattering the previous A-10 Tournament record of 65.

The 2013 Atlantic Sun Conference Baseball Tournament was held at Melching Field at Conrad Park on the campus of Stetson University in DeLand, FL from May 22 through 25. East Tennessee State won their first tournament championship and claimed the Atlantic Sun Conference's automatic bid to the 2013 NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament. The Buccaneers joined the conference in 2005.

The tournament returned to the double-elimination format used prior to the two year experiment with pool play in 2011 and 2012. Florida Atlantic won their first tournament championship and earned the Sun Belt Conference's automatic bid to the 2013 NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament. Florida Atlantic joined the conference in 2006, and left for Conference USA after the 2013 season.

The top four regular season finishers of the league's teams met in the double-elimination tournament held at Arm & Hammer Park in Trenton, NJ. Canisius, the tournament champion, earned the conference's automatic bid to the 2013 NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament.

The 2010 Mid-American Conference Baseball Tournament took place from May 26–29. The top eight regular season finishers of the league's twelve teams, regardless of division, met in the double-elimination tournament held at V.A. Memorial Stadium in Chillicothe, Ohio. This was the sixth iteration of the event, and was held at Erny Field, home field of Temple in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Southeastern Louisiana won their second tournament championship and earned the conference's automatic bid to the 1994 NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament.
