The 1986 CONCACAF Champions' Cup was the 22nd edition of the annual international club football competition held in the CONCACAF region (North America, Central America and the Caribbean), the CONCACAF Champions' Cup. It determined that year's club champion of association football in the CONCACAF region and was played from 22 March 1986 till 11 February 1987.

Contents

The teams were split in 2 zones, North/Central America and Caribbean, (as North and Central America sections combined to qualify one team for the final), each one qualifying two teams to the final tournament. All the matches in the tournament were played under the home/away match system.

The North/Central American section was split too in 3 zones, North, Central 1 and Central 2, the winner of Central 1 directly qualifying to the final tournament, while the winners of North and Central 2, had to play an Intermediate round for the second spot. The Caribbean section was split in 2 zones, North and South group, qualifying one team from each group to the final tournament.

Costa Rican team Liga Deportiva Alajuelense defeated Surinamese Transvaal 6–2 on aggregate, [1] becoming CONCACAF champions for the first time in their history. [2] [3]

The CONCACAF Giants Cup was an international association football club competition held in 2001 to replace CONCACAF Cup Winners Cup. The cup was for CONCACAF teams with the highest attendance in their national league, and was won by Mexico's Club América. The winner and runner up were supposed to qualify for the CONCACAF Clubs Cup, a tournament of eight teams from the CONCACAF Champions Cup and Giants Cup that would compete each January for the FIFA Club World Championship. In October 2001, the Clubs Cup became the CONCACAF Champions' Cup 2002 and Club América and D.C. United were added to the competition.

The 2006 CONCACAF Champions' Cup was the 41st edition of the annual international club football competition held in the CONCACAF region, the CONCACAF Champions' Cup. The tournament is also a qualifying event for the 2006 FIFA Club World Cup. Thirty-three teams from eighteen football associations took part, starting with the first qualifying games on July 26, 2005.

The 2005 UNCAF Interclub Cup was the 23rd edition of the international club football competition held in the UNCAF region representing the seven nations of Central America. This was the seventh year of the current format using the name UNCAF Interclub Cup. The tournament was also a qualifying event for the 2006 CONCACAF Champions' Cup. Sixteen teams representing seven football associations took part, starting with the first qualifying games on July 26, 2005. The tournament ended with a two-legged final between Olimpia of Honduras and Alajuelense of Costa Rica. The first leg was played in Tegucigalpa, Honduras on November 23, 2005 and ended with Alajuelense earning a 1-0 victory. The second leg was played in Alajuela, Costa Rica on November 30, 2005 with Olimpia winning 1-0. Alajuelense then won the UNCAF Interclub Cup in a penalty shootout by the score of 4-2. The top three finishers in the tournament, Alajuelense, Olimpia, and Saprissa, qualified for the 2006 CONCACAF Champions' Cup.

The 1995 CONCACAF Champions' Cup was the 31st edition of the annual international club football competition held in the CONCACAF region, the CONCACAF Champions' Cup. It determined that year's club champion of association football in the CONCACAF region and was played from 19 February till 17 December 1995.

The 1999 UNCAF Interclub Cup was the 17th edition of the Central American Club Championship, and the first under the name UNCAF Interclub Cup. The tournament was organized by UNCAF, the football regional body in Central America.
