The 1989–90 Cypriot Third Division was the 19th season of the Cypriot third-level football league. APEP Pelendriou won their 1st title.

Association football team field sport

Association football, more commonly known as football or soccer, is a team sport played with a spherical ball between two teams of eleven players. It is played by 250 million players in over 200 countries and dependencies, making it the world's most popular sport. The game is played on a rectangular field called a pitch with a goal at each end. The object of the game is to score by moving the ball beyond the goal line into the opposing goal.

APEP Pelendriou is a Cypriot football club based in Pelendri. Founded in 1956, was playing sometimes in Second and sometimes in the Third and Fourth Division.

Format

Fourteen teams participated in the 1989–90 Cypriot Third Division. All teams played against each other twice, once at their home and once away. The team with the most points at the end of the season crowned champions. The first two teams were promoted to 1990–91 Cypriot Second Division. The last three teams were relegated to the 1990–91 Cypriot Fourth Division.

The 1990–91 Cypriot Second Division was the 36th season of the Cypriot second-level football league. Evagoras won their 5th title.

The 1990–91 Cypriot Fourth Division was the 6th season of the Cypriot fourth-level football league. The championship was split into three geographical groups, representing the Districts of Cyprus. The winners were:

Teams received two points for a win, one point for a draw and zero points for a loss.

The 1989–90 Cypriot Cup was the 48th edition of the Cypriot Cup. A total of 71 clubs entered the competition. It began on 29 November 1989 with the first preliminary round and concluded on 9 June 1990 with the final which was held at Tsirio Stadium. Nea Salamis won their 1st Cypriot Cup trophy after beating Omonia 3–2 in the final.
