The 1994 Badminton Asian Cup was the second edition of Badminton Asian Cup. It was held in Beijing Gymnasium, Beijing, China from 14 to 18 June with total prize money of US$120,000. [1] [2] [3] Chinese team won titles in both the singles events and mixed doubles while Indonesia and South Korea won the men's doubles and women's doubles title respectively. [4]

Lu Kai is a Chinese badminton player who specializes in doubles. He won the mixed doubles gold medal at the 2009 Asian Junior Championships partnered with Bao Yixin, and later at the 2017 Asian Championships with Huang Yaqiong.

Xiong Rui is a Chinese badminton player from Xiangtan, Hunan. She played at the 2011 Asian Junior Championships, helped the team win the gold medal, and settled for the bronze medal in the girls' and mixed doubles event. A the BWF Grand Prix tournament, she was the semi finalists at the 2011 Australian Open partnered with Ou Dongni, and 2013 New Zealand Open with Xiao Ting.

Chen Zhuofu is a Chinese badminton player from Changsha, Hunan. He was part of the Chinese junior team that won the mixed team gold medals at the 2010, 2011 Asian Junior Championships and 2010 World Junior Championships. In the individuals junior event, he clinched the 2011 Asian mixed doubles bronze medal partnered with Xiong Rui. Chen represented Changsha competed at the 2011 National Intercity Games, and won the mixed doubles title partnered with Bao Yixin. Teamed-up with Shi Longfei in the men's doubles, they finished as the semi finalist and settled for the bronze medal at the 2014 Asian Championships, defeated by their teammates Li Junhui and Liu Yuchen with the score 9–21, 14–21.

Shi Longfei is a Chinese badminton player from Shanghai. He was part of the Chinese junior team that won the mixed team silver medal at the 2012 Asian Junior Championships. Teamed-up with Chen Zhuofu in the men's doubles, they finished as the semi finalist and settled for the bronze medal at the 2014 Asian Championships, defeated by their teammates Li Junhui and Liu Yuchen with the score 9–21, 14–21. Shi was the mixed doubles champion at the 2017 Vietnam International tournament partnered with Tang Pingyang.

Liu Xuanxuan is a Chinese badminton player from Hunan. She was part of the national junior team that won the mixed team title at the 2017 and 2018 World Junior Championships and also at the 2018 Asian Junior Championships. Liu won her first senior international title at the 2018 Lingshui China Masters in the mixed doubles event partnered with Guo Xinwa.

The 2006 Badminton World Cup was the twenty-first edition of the international Badminton World Cup tournament. The event was held at the Olympic Sports Park in Yiyang, Hunan, China from 24 to 28 October 2006. It was organized by the Table Tennis and Badminton Administration Center under General Administration of Sport of China, hosted by the Hunan Sports Bureau and the Yiyang People's Government, and also co-organized by China Mobile Group Hunan Co., Ltd., with a total prize money of US$250,000. Some of top players declined to participate, since there is no ranking points awarded in this tournament, and tight competition schedule at that year, with also held the World Championship, Thomas & Uber Cup, Asian Games, and the European Club League. In the end, the host Chinese national team won the men's singles, women's singles and women's doubles, while the men's and mixed doubles won by Indonesian players.

Huang Zhanzhong is a Chinese badminton player. He won the men's doubles title at the 1995 Asian Cup, and was part of Chinese team that won the 1990 Asian Games and 1995 Sudirman Cup. Huang competed in the men's doubles tournament at the 1996 Summer Olympics.

The 1995 Asian Badminton Championships was the 14th edition of the Badminton Asia Championships. It was held in Olympic Sports Center Gymnasium, Beijing, China, from 4 to 8 April. China finished with three titles; while South Korea won men's singles and Malaysia won men's doubles disciplines.

The 1991 Badminton Asian Cup was the first edition of Badminton Asian Cup. It was held in Istora Senayan indoor stadium, Jakarta, Indonesia from 18 to 22 December with total prize money of US$100,000. The main sponsor of this tournament was Cathay Pacific. Malaysian team won titles in Men's singles and doubles event, while South Korea won Women's doubles and Mixed doubles disciplines. Chinese Tang won the Women's singles title.
