The 1994 Badminton Asian Cup was the second edition of Badminton Asian Cup. It was held in Beijing Gymnasium, Beijing, China from 14 to 18 June with total prize money of US$120,000. [1] [2] [3] Chinese team won titles in both the singles events and mixed doubles while Indonesia and South Korea won the men's doubles and women's doubles title respectively. [4]

Fajar Alfian is an Indonesian badminton player affiliated with the SGS PLN Bandung. He won the men's doubles silver medal at the 2018 Asian Games, the bronze medals at the 2017 SEA Games, 2019 and 2022 World Championships. He was part of the Indonesia winning team at the 2020 Thomas Cup. He reached a career high of world number 1 in the men's doubles with Muhammad Rian Ardianto on 27 December 2022.

Liu Yuchen is a Chinese badminton player. He was the men's doubles World Champion in 2018, two-time Asian Champion in 2017 and 2018, and also a silver medalist at the 2020 Summer Olympics partnered with Li Junhui. Liu was part of the national team that won the 2018 Asian Games, 2018 Thomas Cup, and 2019 Sudirman Cup. Together with Li, he achieved the men's doubles world number 1 in 6 April 2017, and occupied the top ranking for ten weeks.

The 2005 Asian Junior Badminton Championships is an Asia continental junior championships to crown the best U-19 badminton players across Asia. This tournament were held in Tennis Indoor Senayan, Gelora Bung Karno Sports Complex, Jakarta, Indonesia from 11–17 July. In the team event, South Korean boys', and the Chinese girls' team won the gold medal respectively. In the individual event, China won three gold medal in the boys' singles, girls' singles and girls' doubles event, while South Korea won two gold medal in the boys' and mixed doubles.

The 1998 Asian Junior Badminton Championships is an Asia continental junior championships to crown the best U-19 badminton players across Asia. This tournament were held at the Kuala Lumpur Badminton Stadium, in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from 15-21 June 1998.

Wang Chang is a Chinese badminton player. He was the boys' doubles World Junior champion and two times Asian Junior champion partnering Di Zijian. Wang was part of Chinese winning team at the 2023 Sudirman Cup, and together with Liang Weikeng, they won the bronze medal at the 2023 World Championships. Wang and Liang reached a career high of world number 1 on 31st of October 2023.

Huang Zhanzhong is a Chinese badminton player. He won the men's doubles title at the 1995 Asian Cup, and was part of Chinese team that won the 1990 Asian Games and 1995 Sudirman Cup. Huang competed in the men's doubles tournament at the 1996 Summer Olympics.

Indonesia won both the singles event with men's doubles while Sweden won women's doubles and cross country pair from England & Sweden combined won the mixed doubles.

The 1990 Badminton World Cup was the twelfth edition of an international tournament Badminton World Cup. The event was held from 14 November to 18 November 1990. Competitions for group stage were conducted in Bandung while final matches were scheduled for Istora Senayan in Jakarta. Indonesia won the women's singles and mixed doubles events while China won the men's singles & women's doubles categories. Malaysia secured a title in men's doubles discipline.

The 1989 Badminton World Cup was the eleventh edition of an international tournament Badminton World Cup. The event was held in from 15 to 19 November 1989. China won the men's singles & women's doubles categories while South Korea secured titles in men's doubles & mixed doubles discipline. Indonesia's Susi won women's singles title.

The 1991 Badminton Asian Cup was the first edition of Badminton Asian Cup. It was held in Istora Senayan indoor stadium, Jakarta, Indonesia from 18 to 22 December with total prize money of US$100,000. The main sponsor of this tournament was Cathay Pacific. Malaysian team won titles in Men's singles and doubles event, while South Korea won Women's doubles and Mixed doubles disciplines. Chinese Tang won the Women's singles title.

The 1995 Badminton Asian Cup was the third edition of Badminton Asian Cup. It was held in Xinxing Gymnasium, Qingdao, China from 14 to 18 June with total prize money of US$130,000. Chinese team won titles in all the doubles events while Indonesia and South Korea won the men's singles and women's singly title respectively.

Liang Weikeng is a Chinese badminton player. He was part of Chinese winning team at the 2023 Sudirman Cup, and at the same year won the men's doubles bronze medal at the BWF World Championships partnered with Wang Chang. Liang and Wang won their first title as a pair in the 2022 Japan Open.
