1998 in Armenian football was the seventh season of independent football after the split-up from the Soviet Union. The Armenian Premier League for 1998 existed of ten teams of which the top six would qualify for the championship stage, while the other four would enter the relegation stage.

Aragatsotn is a province (marz) of Armenia. It is located in the western part of the country. The capital and largest city of the province is the town of Ashtarak. The Statistical Committee of Armenia reported its population was 132,925 in the 2011 census.
The Armenian Premier League is the top football competition in Armenia. From 1936 to 1991, the competition was held as a regional tournament within the USSR. Following Armenia's independence, the Football Federation of Armenia has been the governing authority of the league. Over the years, the league has evolved into a small league consisting of ten teams. The winner of the league is awarded a spot in the first qualifying round of the UEFA Champions League.
The VBET Armenian Cup is the main football cup competition of Armenia. In its original form as the Armenian Cup, it started in 1939, when Armenia was a republic of the Soviet Union. It served as a qualification tournament for the Soviet Cup, and it was not disputed by Armenian teams in the Soviet League pyramid. After Armenia gained independence in 1992, the cup became known as Independence Cup, and the final is held every year on 9 May.
Football Club Mika, commonly known as Mika, is an Armenian football club from the capital Yerevan. It was owned by the Mika Corporation LLC headed by the Russia-based Armenian businessman Mikhail Baghdasarov. The club headquarters were located on Manandyan street 41, Yerevan.
Kasakhi Marzik Stadium is a football stadium in Ashtarak, Armenia. It was opened in 1971 and is the former home ground of Mika, Ulisses, Aragats and Kasakh FC. The capacity of the stadium is 3,600. The administrator of the stadium is Armen Matevosyan.
The 2006 Armenian Premier League season was the fifteenth since its establishment, and started on 14 April 2006. The last matches were played on 9 November 2006. FC Pyunik were the defending champions.
BKMA Yerevan, meaning Central Sport Club of the Army Yerevan, is an Armenian football club based in Yerevan. Their current home stadium is the main training pitch of Vagharshapat Football Academy.
1995 in Armenian football was a transitional season. For this season the Armenian Premier League was composed of twelve clubs in two groups of six. No championship was awarded, and no teams were relegated or promoted.
1996-97 in Armenian football was the 5th season of independent football after the split-up from the Soviet Union. It was the second out of two seasons in Armenia that were different from the others. Including the 1995-96 season these were the only winter competitions, while all other Armenian seasons were summer competitions. The Armenian Premier League for 1996-97 existed of 12 teams of which the four lowest ranked team would relegate to the Armenian First League. Only two Armenian First League teams would be promoted for the 1997 fall season, switching back to the winter competitions.
The 1997 season was the sixth season of independent football in Armenia following the split-up from the Soviet Union. It was the return to the summer competition format after using the winter competition format for two seasons. The Armenian Premier League for 1997 existed of 10 teams of which the lowest ranked team would relegate to the Armenian First League and would be replaced by the champions of that league.
1999 in Armenian football was the eighth season of independent football after the split-up from the Soviet Union. The Armenian Premier League for 1999 existed of 10 teams of which the three lowest ranked teams would relegate to the Armenian First League. The seventh ranked team would enter the promotion/relegation play-off with the second ranked team of the First League. Only the winner of that competition was promoted directly.
2000 in Armenian football was the ninth season of independent football after the split-up from the Soviet Union. The Armenian Premier League for 2000 existed of 8 teams of which the lowest ranked teams would relegate to the Armenian First League. The seventh ranked team would enter the promotion/relegation play-off with the second ranked team of the First League. However it was decided that none of the Premier League teams would be relegated and four clubs were promoted from the First League, as well as FC Banants that was given a place at the highest level for the 2001 season. In the last few weeks Ararat, Zvartnots-AAL, Dinamo and Mika all refused to play once or more times as they were demanding fair play and claiming that referees penalised them repeatedly in favour of Araks that eventually won the title due to the awarded 3-0 victories in their favour.
The 2008 Armenian Premier League season was the seventeenth since its establishment. It started on 6 April 2008, while the last matches were played on 15 November 2008. FC Pyunik were the defending champions. The Yerevan side won their seventh consecutive league title the previous season, their tenth overall. FC Dinamo Yerevan were supposed to be the team to get promoted, but they withdrew from the Premier League, and were disbanded.

Ulisses Football Club, commonly known as Ulisses, is a defunct Armenian football club from Yerevan. The club played at the Armenian Premier League, the top division in Armenian football. They regularly used the Vazgen Sargsyan Republican Stadium in Yerevan and occasionally the City Stadium in Abovyan as their home ground.
The 2001 Armenian First League season started on 15 May and ended on November 10. FC Malatia from Yerevan became the league champions, and were promoted to the 2002 Armenian Premier League.
Football Club Aragats, was an Armenian football club based in the town of Ashtarak, Aragatsotn Province. They play their home games at the Kasakhi Marzik Stadium in Ashtarak.
