Football Club Shirak, commonly known as Shirak, is an Armenian professional sports club based in Gyumri. Shirak is known for its professional football team which is one of the oldest football clubs in Armenia, having been created in 1958. The club is the only team that participated in all seasons of the Armenian Premier League since its creation in 1992 until 2021. Shirak is one of the more successful clubs in Armenia, having won a total of 11 domestic titles including four Armenian Premier League titles, two Armenian Cup, and five Armenian Super Cup.

The 2017–18 season was Shirak's 27th consecutive season in the Armenian Premier League. Shirak finished the season in 4th place after they were deducted 12 points in May 2018 as it was alleged that Shirak's sporting director Ararat Harutyunyan had offered Edward Kpodo of Banants a bride to fix their upcoming match. Shirak were knocked out of the Armenian Cup by Gandzasar Kapan at the Semifinal stage and the Europa League by Gorica in the first qualifying round.

The 2017–18 Armenian Premier League season was the 26th since its establishment. The season began in August 2017 and concluded in May 2018. Alashkert were the defending champions from the previous season.

The 2002 Armenian First League is the 12th season of the Armenian First League. It started on the 25th of April and ended November 17. FC Armavir from Armavir became the league champions, and were promoted to the 2003 Armenian Premier League.

The 2003 Armenian First League is the 13th season of the Armenian First League. It started on 1 May and ended 14 November. FC Kilikia from Yerevan became the league champions, and were promoted to the 2004 Armenian Premier League.

The 2018–19 Armenian Premier League season was the 27th since its establishment. The season began on 4 August 2018 and ended on 30 May 2019.

The 2018–19 season was Shirak's 28th consecutive season in the Armenian Premier League, in which they finished the season in 7th place, their worst positioning since the 2011 season. Shirak also took part in the Armenian Cup, where they were knocked out by Artsakh in the first round.
