The 2012 FIFA Futsal World Cup was the seventh FIFA Futsal World Cup, the quadrennial international futsal championship contested by the men's national teams of the member associations of FIFA. It took place from 1 to 18 November 2012 in Thailand. An extra four teams were competing at this World Cup. This was the first FIFA men's tournament held in Southeast Asia since the Malaysia 1997 FIFA World Youth Championship, and was the first FIFA men's tournament held in the country, having hosted the 2004 FIFA U-19 Women's World Championship.

The 2006 AFF Futsal Championship was the fourth edition of the tournament. It took place from 2 to 7 May 2006 in Bangkok, Thailand.

The 2012 AFC Futsal Championship qualification was held in late 2011 and early 2012 to determine 12 spots to the final tournament in United Arab Emirates. The teams finishing first, second and third in the 2010 AFC Futsal Championship, and the host nation for the 2012 competition, receive automatic byes to Finals.

Bangkok Arena, formerly named Bangkok Futsal Arena (บางกอกฟุตซอลอารีนา), is an indoor sporting arena, located in Nong Chok District of Bangkok, Thailand. The capacity of the arena is 12,000 spectators and the construction of the arena was scheduled to be finished in 2012 for the 2012 FIFA Futsal World Cup but construction did not finish in time because of 2011 Thailand floods. The Arena was finally opened in 2015, in time for the 2015 AFF Futsal Championship. Expected uses include concerts, basketball, futsal and volleyball.

Nimibutr Stadium is an indoor sporting arena located in Bangkok, Thailand. The capacity of the arena is 5,600 spectators. It was built in 1963 and is part of the National Stadium complex.

The 2014 AFC Futsal Championship qualification is held in late 2013 to determine 12 spots to the final tournament in Vietnam. The teams finishing first, second and third in the 2012 AFC Futsal Championship, and Vietnam, the host nation for the 2014 competition, receive automatic byes to the Finals.

The 2016 AFC Futsal Championship qualification was a men's futsal competition which decided the participating teams of the 2016 AFC Futsal Championship. A total of 16 teams qualified to play in the final tournament, including Japan, Iran, Uzbekistan (hosts), who qualified directly as the top three finishers of the 2014 AFC Futsal Championship. Since third-placed Uzbekistan qualified automatically as hosts, Kuwait, who finished fourth, would have also qualified as the next best-ranked team, but they were later replaced due to FIFA's suspension of the Kuwait Football Association.

The 2016 AFF Futsal Championship is the 13th edition of the tournament which been held from 23 to 29 January 2017. It was initially planned to be held from 31 October to 6 November 2016.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">2017 AFC U-20 Futsal Championship</span> International football competition

The 2017 AFC U-20 Futsal Championship was the first edition of the AFC U-20 Futsal Championship, the biennial international futsal championship organised by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) for the men's youth national teams of Asia. The tournament was hosted by Thailand between 16 and 26 May 2017. Iran and Thailand had signaled their intent to host the inaugural competition.

The 2018 AFC Women's Futsal Championship was the second edition of the AFC Women's Futsal Championship, the biennial international futsal championship organized by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) for the women's national teams of Asia. It took place in Thailand, which was appointed as hosts by the AFC on 29 July 2017, between 2 and 12 May 2018. The 2021–22 Women's Volleyball Thailand League is the 17th season of the Women's Volleyball Thailand League, the top Thai professional league for women's volleyball clubs, since its establishment in 2005, also known as Daikin Women's Volleyball Thailand League due to the sponsorship deal with Daikin. A total of 8 teams will compete in the league. The season will begin on 12 November 2020 and is scheduled to conclude in 2021. This season will be organized by the Thailand Volleyball Association (TVA) instead Thailand Volleyball Co., Ltd. The season started.

The 2022 AFF Futsal Championship was the 17th edition of the AFF Futsal Championship, organized by the ASEAN Football Federation (AFF) in the sport of futsal. The tournament was held in Bangkok, Thailand. The top three finishing teams of the tournament will qualify for the 2022 AFC Futsal Asian Cup in Kuwait as AFF's representatives.
