The Iraq national futsal team represents Iraq in international futsal competitions and is controlled by the Futsal Commission of the Iraq Football Association. It is one of the rising teams in Asia. As of October 2023, Iraq is ranked 43rd in the Futsal World Rankings. Iraq has played in eleven AFC Futsal Championships. Its best result was fourth place in 2018. Iraq has also played at three WAFF Futsal Championships where in 2009, they won the tournament to gain their first ever title on any international stage. Iraq also played three times at the Arab Futsal Cup, finishing as runners-up in the 2022 edition.

The 2024 FIFA Futsal World Cup is the tenth edition of the FIFA Futsal World Cup, the quadrennial international futsal championship contested by the men's national teams of the member associations of FIFA. The tournament was held in Uzbekistan. It was the first FIFA tournament ever hosted by Uzbekistan and the first FIFA tournament to take place in Central Asia. The tournament will return to its usual four-year cycle after the previous tournament was delayed to 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The 2022 WAFF Women's Futsal Championship was the third edition of the WAFF Women's Futsal Championship, an international women's futsal Championship organised by the West Asian Football Federation (WAFF) for the women's national teams of West Asia. It was hosted by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for the first time and marked the country's first-ever women's international tournament, held from June 15 to 24, 2022.

The 2023 AFC U-20 Asian Cup will be an international football tournament that wil be held in Uzbekistan from 1 to 18 March 2023. The sixteen participating national teams were required to register a squad of a minimum of 18 and a maximum of 23 players, including at least three goalkeepers. Only players in these squads are eligible to take part in the tournament. The tournament exclusively requires players to be born between 1 January 2003 and 31 December 2007 to be eligible, that is, they must be a maximum of 20 years old and at least 16 years old by the end of the calendar year in which the competition is played.
The 2023 AFC Asian Cup was an international football tournament held in Qatar from 12 January to 10 February 2024. The 24 national teams involved in the tournament were required to register a squad with a minimum of 18 players and a maximum of 26 players, at least three of whom had to be goalkeepers. The 2024 AFC U-23 Asian Cup is an under-23 international football tournament organised by the Asian Football Confederation, taking place in Qatar between 15 April and 3 May 2024. The sixteen national teams involved in the tournament were required to register a squad of a minimum of 18 and a maximum of 23 players, including at least three goalkeepers. Only players in these squads were eligible to take part in the competition. The tournament exclusively requires players to be born on or after 1 January 2001 to be eligible.
