The Auburn Tigers men's basketball team is the intercollegiate men's basketball program that represents Auburn University. The school competes in the Southeastern Conference in Division I of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). The Tigers play their home games at Auburn Arena in Auburn, Alabama on the university campus. The program began in 1906, and is currently coached by Bruce Pearl.

Toliver was born in Harrisonburg, Virginia, United States and possesses a dual American-Slovak citizenzhip. She is the daughter of former NBA referee, George Toliver and Peggy Toliver. During her rookie season in the WNBA, Toliver signed an endorsement deal with Nike.
The 1971 Auburn Tigers football team represented Auburn University in the 1971 college football season. The Tigers offense scored 335 points while the defense allowed 182 points. SEC Champion Alabama handed Auburn their only conference loss of the year. Pat Sullivan won the Heisman Trophy.

This would be the final time to date, that this format of two separate events has been used. Like all other equestrian events, the eventing competition was mixed gender, with both male and female athletes competing in the same division. 12 teams, each consisting of between three and four horse and rider pairs, entered the contest.
