The 2004 America East Conference Baseball Tournament took place from May 27-29 at Mahaney Diamond in Orono, Maine. The top four regular season finishers of the league's eight teams qualified for the double-elimination tournament. In the championship game, fourth-seeded Stony Brook defeated second-seeded Maine, 3-1, to win its first tournament championship. The top four finishers from the regular season were seeded one through four based on conference winning percentage only. They then played in a double-elimination format. In the first round, the one and four seeds were matched up in one game, while the two and three seeds were matched up in the other. [2]

The Stony Brook Seawolves are the athletic teams of Stony Brook University in Stony Brook, New York, United States. The school competes at the Division I level of the National Collegiate Athletic Association and participates in the America East Conference for all sports except football, in which they participate as an associate member of the Colonial Athletic Association, and women's tennis, which competes as an associate member of the Missouri Valley Conference. Stony Brook will join the Colonial Athletic Association as a member in all sports on July 1, 2022. The official colors of the Seawolves are red, grey, and blue.
The Stony Brook Seawolves baseball team represents Stony Brook University in NCAA Division I men's college baseball. Stony Brook currently competes in the America East Conference and plays its home games on Joe Nathan Field. Matt Senk has coached the team since the beginning of the 1991 season. The team has won the America East tournament six times in 2004, 2008, 2010, 2012, 2015, and 2019. In 2011, the Seawolves claimed their first America East regular season championship. Stony Brook has participated in the NCAA Tournament on six separate occasions, winning its first game in 2010.
The 2012 America East Conference Baseball Tournament took place from May 23–25. The top four regular season finishers of the league's six teams met in the double-elimination tournament held at Stony Brook University's Joe Nathan Field. Stony Brook won their fourth America East Championship, defeating Maine 13-6 in the championship game, and earned the conference's automatic bid to the 2012 NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament.
The 2013 America East Conference Baseball Tournament was held from May 22–26. The top four regular season finishers of the league's six teams met in the double-elimination tournament held at Edward A. LeLacheur Park in Lowell, Massachusetts. This is the first year that the event was held at a pre-determined neutral site since 2001. UMass Lowell, which would join the conference following the season and was a tenant of the park, served as the host of the tournament. Second-seeded Binghamton defeated first-seeded Maine in the championship game, which was played at Rhode Island's Bill Beck Field due to scheduling issues.
The 2011 America East Conference Baseball Tournament took place from May 25-27 at Joe Nathan Field in Stony Brook, New York. The top four regular season finishers of the league's six teams qualified for the double-elimination tournament. In the championship game, second-seeded Maine defeated fourth-seeded Albany, 10-1, to win its fifth tournament championship. Mike McRae is a Canadian college baseball coach who is currently the head baseball coach at the College of William & Mary. He was formerly an assistant coach at Virginia Commonwealth University and head coach of the Canisius Golden Griffins. McRae was Canisius's head coach from the start of the 2005 season to the end of the 2017 season. Under McRae in 2013, Canisius advanced to its first NCAA Tournament. Before becoming the head coach at Canisius, he was the head coach at Niagara from 2002–2004, and an assistant at several NCAA Division I programs from 1996–2001.

At the end of each regular season, the America East Conference names major award winners in baseball. Currently, it names a Coach, Pitcher, Player, and Rookie of the Year. With the exception of Rookie of the Year, which was added in 1996, the awards date to the 1990 season, the conference's first season of baseball. Through the 1996 season, the awards were known as the major awards of the North Atlantic Conference, the America East's former name.
Steve Trimper is an American college baseball coach who is currently the head coach for the Stetson Hatters baseball team out of the ASUN Conference. Previously, he served as the head coach at Maine from 2006 to 2016 and Manhattan from 1999 to 2005. An alumnus of Eastern Connecticut State University, Trimper played baseball there from 1990 to 1992 and was a member of the Warriors' 1990 Division III national championship team.
