2007 Chinese Professional Baseball League season

The 2007 Chinese Professional Baseball League (CPBL) season began on March 17 in Kaohsiung County when the defending champion La New Bears played host to the Uni-President Lions. The season concluded in late October with the Uni-President Lions defeating the La New Bears in Game 7 of the Taiwan Series.

Competition

Six teams, the La New Bears, Uni-President Lions, Sinon Bulls, Chinatrust Whales, Brother Elephants and Macoto Cobras will contest the CPBL, the highest level of professional baseball played in Taiwan. The season is divided into two halves, with each team playing fifty games in each half. The winners for each half-season plus the non-winner with the best overall record will qualify for the playoffs. In the event that the same team wins both halves, the next two teams with the best overall records will advance.

The CTBC Brothers or simply Brothers are a professional baseball team in Taiwan. The team was originally established as an amateur team in 1984 by the Brother Hotel located in Taipei City, and later joined the Chinese Professional Baseball League (CPBL) in 1989. Uni-President Lions Professional baseball team in Tanian City, Taiwan

The Uni-President Lions, also known as Uni-Lions, are a professional baseball team played in the Chinese Professional Baseball League (CPBL). The Lions are based in Tainan City, Taiwan, and homefielded primary at Tainan Municipal Baseball Stadium.

The Wei Chuan Dragons are a professional baseball team in Taiwan's Chinese Professional Baseball League that originally existed between 1990 and 1999. In 2019, negotiations regarding the franchise's revival and return to the CPBL took place. The team is to play one season of minor league baseball prior to rejoining the CPBL.

The Rakuten Monkeys, formerly First Financial Holdings Agan, La New Bears and then the Lamigo Monkeys (Lamigo桃猿), are a professional baseball team in the Chinese Professional Baseball League in Taiwan. Owned and administered by the Kaohsiung-based shoe-producing La New Corporation and then the Japan-based electronic commerce and online retailing company Rakuten, the Monkeys qualified for the playoffs in 2006 for the first time in team history, and by finishing with the best record for the whole season, gained an automatic berth in the Taiwan Series.

The dmedia T-REX (米迪亞暴龍) was a professional baseball team belonging to the Chinese Professional Baseball League (CPBL).

The Chinese Professional Baseball League (CPBL) playoffs included the three top teams from the regular season and crowned a champion with the Taiwan Series through the month of October, 2006. The winner represented Taiwan in the Konami Cup in Japan with the champions from Japan, South Korea, and an all-star team from China to determine an Asian champion in November.

He currently plays as an outfielder for the Lions, and has been constantly shifted between all three outfield positions. Huang Chin-chih is a Taiwanese baseball player who was the last MVP of the Taiwan Major League and is currently a pitching coach with the Chinatrust Brothers in the Chinese Professional Baseball League.

The 2020 Chinese Professional Baseball League season was the 31st season of the Chinese Professional Baseball League (CPBL). The season was scheduled to begin on 14 March, earlier than previous seasons in order to free up time for the CPBL players to participate in the final qualifying tournament of the 2020 Summer Olympics. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, opening day was delayed. On 1 April, the CPBL announced that the season would begin on 11 April with the rematch of last season's Taiwan Series teams: the champions Rakuten Monkeys hosting the CTBC Brothers, but behind closed doors with no fans attending.
