The 2007 Tampa Bay Storm season was the 21st season for the team in the Arena Football League and 17th in Tampa. They tried to improve upon their 7–9 record from 2006 in the Southern Division, and looking to get back to the playoffs for the first time since 2005. The apparent cause of their turnaround from an 0–5 start was the replacement of John Kaleo at quarterback with Brett Dietz. Whereas they were a combined 1–6 under Kaleo and the injured Stoney Case, they were 8–1 under Dietz. On June 13, two weeks after being placed on "left squad", T.T. Toliver was released by the Storm and subsequently signed with the Orlando Predators. On June 23, they clinched the #3 seed in the National Conference, and hosted a home playoff game vs. the #6 seed in the National Conference, the Columbus Destroyers, which they lost 56-55.

The 2007 Columbus Destroyers season is the 9th season for the franchise and the 4th in Columbus, Ohio. They finished with a 7–9 record and qualified for the playoffs. The Destroyers defeated the Tampa Bay Storm 56–55 in the first round. The Destroyers advanced to the National Conference Championship by beating Dallas 66–59 in Dallas the following week. Columbus swept the table with the top three National Conference teams by defeating the Georgia Force 66–56 to win the National Conference Championship Game, their first in team history their history and advance to ArenaBowl XXI, their first ArenaBowl. In ArenaBowl XXI, the Destroyers lost to the San Jose SaberCats 33-55.

After posting an 8–8 record in the regular season, they hosted their first-ever home playoff game on June 29 against the Orlando Predators, whom they defeated to help clinch the home game the previous week. They subsequently defeated the Predators 41–26.

The 2007 Colorado Crush season was the fifth season for the franchise. They look to make the playoffs again, as they were 11–5 and division champs in 2006. They went 8–8 and qualified for the playoffs. After an upset over the Brigade, the Crush lost 76–67 to the San Jose SaberCats in the divisional round.
The 2007 Nashville Kats season was the third season for the franchise since they resumed operations. They look to make the playoffs again after finishing 2006 with an 8–8 record. They went 7–9 and missed playoffs. This season was also the final season for the Nashville Kats. The team ceased operations again 4 months later.
The 2007 Los Angeles Avengers season was the eighth season for the franchise. The Avengers began their season, trying to improve on their 5–11 record from 2006. Their 9–7 record allowed them to clinch their first playoff spot since they won the division in 2005. After defeating the Utah Blaze 64–42, they lost 52–20 to the Chicago Rush in the divisional round. This was the final playoff appearance for the Avengers.
The 2007 Arizona Rattlers season was the 16th season for the franchise. They looked to make the playoffs after finishing 2006 with an 8–8 record. They finished 4–12 record and missed the playoffs.
The 2010 Jacksonville Sharks season was the inaugural season for the franchise in the Arena Football League. The team was coached by Les Moss and played their home games at Jacksonville Veterans Memorial Arena. The Sharks put together a 12–4 record, winning the South division and was also the top team in the American Conference. However, the Sharks lost a back-and-forth game at home to the Orlando Predators in the opening playoff round by a score of 69–73.
The 2010 Bossier–Shreveport Battle Wings season was the 9th season for the franchise, and the first in the Arena Football League, coming from the AF2, which dissolved following the 2009 season. The team was coached by Jon Norris and played their home games at CenturyTel Center. With a 3–13 record, the Battle Wings failed to qualify for the playoffs, finishing last in the American Conference.
The 2010 Dallas Vigilantes season was the inaugural season for the franchise in the Arena Football League (AFL). With many players of the old Desperados team that put up a 15–1 record in recent years returning, Dallas fans had high hopes for the Vigilantes carrying on with the Desperados' success. However, after a 1–5 start and an altercation with one of his players, head coach Rich Ingold was fired, and replaced by James Fuller for the remainder of the season. Eventually Clint Dolezel was named as head coach for the 2011 season after the Vigilantes went 2–8 in their final ten games to finish the 2010 season 3–13, despite winning their last game of the season on the road, 62–56 against the Bossier–Shreveport Battle Wings. Two of Dallas's three wins that season came on the road.
The 2010 Chicago Rush season was the tenth season for the franchise in the Arena Football League. The team was coached by Mike Hohensee and played their home games at Allstate Arena. For the 10th consecutive season, the Rush qualified for the playoffs. In the conference semifinals, they lost to the Milwaukee Iron, 54–64.
The 2010 Utah Blaze season is the 4th season for the franchise in the Arena Football League. The team was coached by Ernesto Purnsley, who was fired on June 1, 2010, with Ron James named as his replacement. Home games are played at the Maverik Center, which was known as the "E Center" prior to being renamed on June 8, 2010. The Blaze missed out on the postseason after finishing the season 2–14, the worst record in the league.

The 2016 Philadelphia Eagles season was the franchise's 84th season in the National Football League (NFL) and the first under head coach Doug Pederson. The Eagles named 2nd overall pick Carson Wentz the starting quarterback for Week 1 against the Cleveland Browns. The Eagles started 3–0 including a 34–3 win over their intrastate rivals, the Pittsburgh Steelers. Following their Week 4 bye week, the Eagles went 4–9, including a 2–4 record against their divisional rivals. Following a 27–26 loss to the Baltimore Ravens in Week 15, the Eagles were eliminated from playoff contention for the third consecutive season and the fourth time in five seasons and suffered back-to-back losing seasons for the first time since 1998—1999. This was the last season the Eagles missed the playoffs until 2020.
The 2019 Oregon Ducks football team represented the University of Oregon during the 2019 NCAA Division I FBS football season. The team was led by second-year head coach Mario Cristobal. Oregon played their home games at Autzen Stadium in Eugene, Oregon. The Ducks competed as members of the North Division of the Pac-12 Conference.
