The 2007 XM Satellite Radio Indy 300 was the opening round of the 2007 IndyCar Series season. It took place on March 24, 2007 at the Homestead-Miami Speedway in Homestead, Florida, United States.

The Curb Agajanian Performance Group is an American motorsports team, currently competing as a co-entrant in IndyCar and IMSA. The 2007 IRL IndyCar Series began with a night race on Saturday March 24 at Homestead-Miami Speedway. The season's premiere event, the 91st Indianapolis 500 was held on May 27. The season finale was held at Chicagoland Speedway on September 9. Dario Franchitti won four races during the season, including the Indy 500, clinched the 2007 IndyCar Series championship after he won the final race of the season at Chicagoland Speedway, after points leader Scott Dixon ran out of fuel in turn 3 of the final lap.

Extreme Talk was a talk radio channel available on iHeartRadio. Owned by iHeartMedia, Inc., Extreme Talk featured terrestrial radio show simulcasts and tape delay broadcasts from across the United States. The station lineup included: syndicated programs Ground Zero with Clyde Lewis, Handel on the Law, Jay Mohr Sports, Rover's Morning Glory, and The Schnitt Show; as well as local programs America's Trucking Network, The Alan Cox Show, and The Monsters in the Morning. The 2008 GAINSCO Auto Insurance Indy 300 was the opening round of the 2008 IndyCar Series season and took place on March 29, 2008 at the 1.485-mile (2.390 km) Homestead-Miami Speedway. For the first time in series history, the reigning champion was not on the grid to defend his title, as Dario Franchitti had moved to the No. 40 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series car for Chip Ganassi Racing. Graham Rahal was supposed to make his debut in this race, however due to a crash in testing his team could not get his car repaired in time for the race. 2003 champion Scott Dixon kicked off the season with the victory, on his way to the series championship.

The 2020 Dixie Vodka 400 was a NASCAR Cup Series race that was originally scheduled to be held on March 22, 2020 and was rescheduled to June 14, 2020, at Homestead–Miami Speedway in Homestead, Florida. On March 13, 2020, NASCAR announced that they would postpone the race due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
