In the 2008 Kremlin Cup - Men's doubles, Marat Safin and Dmitry Tursunov were the defending champions. They were both present but did not compete together. Safin partnered with Teymuraz Gabashvili, but lost in the first round to Stephen Huss and Ross Hutchins. Tursunov partnered with Igor Kunitsyn, but they were forced to withdraw due to a shoulder injury for Tursunov before their quarterfinals match against Sergiy Stakhovsky and Potito Starace.

Dmitry Igorevich Tursunov is a retired Russian tennis player and a tennis coach. At age 12 he moved to the United States to train and further his prospects of becoming a professional player. His career-high singles ranking was world No. 20, achieved in October 2006.

Nikolay Davydenko was the defending champion, and won in the final 7–5, 7–6(11–9), against Paul-Henri Mathieu.

Fabrice Santoro and Nenad Zimonjić were the defending champions, but Santoro chose not to participate, and only Zimonjic competed that year.
Zimonjic partnered with Daniel Nestor, but lost in the quarterfinals to Sébastien Grosjean and Jo-Wilfried Tsonga.

The 2008 Kremlin Cup was a tennis tournament played on indoor hard courts. It was the 19th edition of the Kremlin Cup, and was part of the International Series of the 2008 ATP Tour, and of the Tier I Series of the 2008 WTA Tour. It took place at the Olympic Stadium in Moscow, Russia, from 6 October through 12 October 2008.

Nikolay Davydenko was the defending champion, but lost in the quarterfinals to Marat Safin.

Andy Murray defeated Novak Djokovic in the final, 6–2, 7–5 to win the men's singles tennis title at the 2009 Miami Open.

Pablo Cuevas and Luis Horna were the defending champions, but lost in the third round to Igor Kunitsyn and Dmitry Tursunov.

Ashley Fisher and Tripp Phillips were the defending champions, but Phillips chose not to participate, and only Fisher competed that year.
Fisher partnered with Jordan Kerr, but lost in the final to Ernests Gulbis and Dmitry Tursunov, 6–4, 3–6, [11–9].

Juan Martín del Potro was the defending champion, but chose not to participate that year.

Sergiy Stakhovsky was the defending champion, but lost to Julien Benneteau in the quarterfinals. John Isner defeated Benneteau in the final, 4–6, 6–3, 6–4.

Igor Kunitsyn and Dmitry Tursunov are the defending champions, but eventually they lost in the first round to Alex Bogomolov Jr. and Mikhail Kukushkin.
František Čermák and Filip Polášek won the title, defeating Carlos Berlocq and David Marrero 6–3, 6–1 in the final.

Tomáš Berdych was the defending champion but withdrew because of a wrist injury.
Richard Gasquet won the title, defeating Benoît Paire in an all-French final, 6–2, 6–3.

Andrey Rublev and Dmitry Tursunov defeated the defending champion František Čermák and his partner Radu Albot in the final, 2–6, 6–1, [10–6] to win the men's doubles tennis title at the 2015 Kremlin Cup.
