The Virginia Cavaliers baseball team represents the University of Virginia in NCAA Division I college baseball. Wang Yihan is a retired Chinese professional badminton player and former women's singles world champion and Olympic silver medalist. Wang started her career with her coach Wang Pengren at only nine years of age. She was selected for the junior team in 2004, and after being promoted to the senior team in 2006, she began to shine in major tournaments. By October 2009 she was the top ranked Women's singles player in the world.
The BWF Super Series Finals was an annual badminton tournament held at the end of the year where the players with the most points from that calendar year's twelve events of the BWF Super Series competed for total prize money of at least US$ 1,000,000. The Evolution Championship Series, commonly known as Evo, is an annual esports event that focuses exclusively on fighting games. The Grand Prix Super Series of men's tennis tournaments was part of the Grand Prix and World Championship Tennis tours between 1970 and 1989. They were held annually throughout the year in Europe, North America, Africa and Asia. These tournaments were the most prestigious and highest level events of the Grand Prix Tour after the majors and year-end championships. They had six name changes from 1970 through to 1977: Group One, Group B, Group A, Group AA, 5 Star and 6 Star, before settling on a consistent naming format called "Super Series" from 1978 until 1989.
Porntip Buranaprasertsuk is a Thai badminton player. Buranaprasertsuk won her first Superseries title in 2011 India Open on 1 May 2011, becoming the first Thai to win a women's singles title in the Superseries tournament. She competed at the 2010, 2014 Asian Games, also in four consecutive Southeast Asian Games, and was part of the team that won the women's team gold medals in 2011 and 2015 Southeast Asian Games.
Bhamidipati Sai Praneeth is an Indian badminton player. He became the first Indian male shuttler in 36 years to win a bronze medal in the BWF World Championships in 2019 after Prakash Padukone in 1983. Sai Praneeth was honoured with the Arjuna Award in 2019. His parents are Seshadri Deekshitulu and Madhavi Latha of Palakollu, West Godavari district, Andhra Pradesh. His maternal aunt was a national level badminton player.
Yuki Fukushima is a Japanese badminton player affiliated with Marusugi Bluvic. She and her partner Sayaka Hirota won the 2017 Most Improved Player of the Year award. The duo were ranked as world No. 1 at the BWF World Ranking in 21 June 2018.
Sapsiree Taerattanachai is a Thai badminton player. She claimed titles in the mixed doubles with Dechapol Puavaranukroh at the 2017 Southeast Asian Games and at the 2021 World Championships. Taerattanachai and Puavaranukroh made history as the first ever Thai pair to win the year-end Finals tournaments, the World Championships title and rank first in the world ranking.
Misaki Matsutomo is a Japanese badminton player who is a doubles specialist. She won the gold medal at the 2016 Summer Olympic women's doubles alongside Ayaka Takahashi. Despite playing doubles, she was also a finalist in girls' singles at the 2010 BWF World Junior Championships in Mexico.
Nelakurihi Sikki Reddy is an Indian badminton player who plays doubles and mixed doubles. In 2016, she won the Brazil and Russia Open Grand Prix title in the mixed doubles event partnered with Pranaav Chopra. She and Chopra also won the gold medal at the South Asian Games.

She won her first international title in 2010 Indonesia International, and claimed her first Grand Prix title in 2016 Vietnam Open. Haris was two times Asian Championships bronze medalists winning in 2018 and 2019.

Gabriela Stoeva is a Bulgarian badminton player specializing in doubles. Her current partner is her younger sister, Stefani Stoeva. The pair is the three-time European Champion and European Games gold medalist as well. They competed at the 2016 and 2020 Summer Olympics.
Chen Qingchen is a Chinese badminton player. She started her achievements under her coach Li Yongbo, with partner in the women's doubles Jia Yifan, and in the mixed doubles Zheng Siwei. In 2017, she was awarded as the BWF Best Female Player of the Year, after came to Dubai World Superseries Finals as the first seeded both in women's and mixed doubles, and also won the women's doubles gold and mixed doubles silver medals at the 2017 BWF World Championships in Glasgow, Scotland. In women's doubles, she also won gold medals at the 2021 and 2022 World Championships, 2018 Asian Games and at the 2019 Asian Championships.
Jia Yifan is a Chinese badminton player. She won gold medals at the 2017, 2021, 2022 World Championships, 2018 Asian Games and at the 2019 Asian Championships.
Sayaka Hirota is a Japanese badminton player affiliated with Saishunkan team. She and her partner Yuki Fukushima won the 2017 Most Improved Player of the Year award. Hirota and Fukushima were ranked world No. 1 at the BWF World Ranking in 21 June 2018.
