The 2010 MNL Grand Royal is the Myanmar National League's first full regular season. The MNL was founded in 2009, and two separate cup competitions were held. Mandalay-based Yadanabon FC won both competitions.

League table

The season opener was between the champion Yadanarbon F.C. and Zeya Shwe Myay on 13 March 2010. The title deciding match was also between the champion Yadanabon and Zeya Shwe Myay on 9 November 2010 and Yadanabon won the match 2–1. The last match of the 2010 season was played on 10 November 2010 between Yangon United F.C. and Okkthar United ending in a 3–3 draw. Below is the league table for 2010 season. [1]

Myanmar National League

The MPT Myanmar National League is the premier national professional football league of Myanmar. In 2009, the league replaced the Myanmar Premier League, which consisted only of 14 Yangon-based football clubs, with eight professional clubs representing different regions across the nation. On 16 May 2009, the league launched its inaugural two-month tournament, the Myanmar National League Cup 2009 in preparation for the first full season in 2010. Despite its national ambitions, the league held the MNL Cup 2009 matches in the country's two main stadiums in Yangon due to the lack of adequate facilities elsewhere. On 5 July 2009, Yadanabon FC defeated Yangon United FC in the MNL Cup final to become the first-ever MNL Champions.

Yangon United F.C.

Yangon United Football Club is a Burmese football club, based at Yangon United Sports Complex, in Yangon, Myanmar. Owned by Tay Za, a prominent Burmese businessman, the club was one of eight teams that participated in the inaugural edition of the Myanmar National League in 2009, where they finished as runners-up. Yangon United's biggest rivals are Yadanarbon F.C., with whom they contest the Myanmar rivalry.

Ayeyawady United F.C.

Ayeyawady United Football Club is a Burmese football club, based at Pathein Stadium in Pathein, Myanmar. The club was a founding member of the Myanmar National League (MNL) in 2009, and represents the Ayeyarwady Division in lower Myanmar. The club finished tied for the last place in the league's inaugural cup competition, the MNL Cup 2009. The club owners of Delta United have changed four times. Currently, a total of 26 entrepreneurs from Ayeyawady Region are successfully running the club. Ayeyawady United Football Club is the first ever Runner-up team in Myanmar National League with an unbeaten record for 25 matches. This record was broken by the match against with Zeyarshwe Myay F.C.

MNL Cup Grand Royal 2009 is the inaugural knock-out football tournament of the Myanmar National League. The tournament, held at the Aung San Stadium and the Thuwunna Stadium in Yangon between 16 May and 5 July 2009, was contested by all eight clubs of the newly formed professional league. Yadanabon FC finished in first place, one point ahead of Yangon United FC, in group play. On 5 July 2009, Yadanabon defeated Yangon United in the cup final on penalty kicks, to become the reigning champions of the league.

The MNL Myanmar 2013 is the Myanmar National League's fourth full regular season. The fixture schedule was released on third weeks of December 2012. The season is scheduled to begin on 5 January 2013 and end on 25 August 2013. At the end of the 2013 season, the top two teams from the MNL-2 New Holland League will be promoted to the MNL while the two bottom teams from the MNL will be relegated to the MNL-2.

Rakhine United F.C.

Rakhine United Football Club is a professional football club, based in Rakhine State, that plays in the Myanmar National League. Rakhine United Football Club in 2009, the club changed its name to Rakhapura United in December,2010. Home Stadium to use Waitharli Stadium in Sittwe Township, Rakhine State. Now they use to play in Thuwanna YTC Stadium as home. Last season Rakhapura United FC stand 10th position. Rakhapura United Football Club drawn with Yadanabon FC, that time Yadanarbon FC is the Champion of MNL. That match is the first ever professional match in Myanmar National League. In December 2012, the club has used its origin name Rakhine United F.C..

The MNL Myanmar 2014 is the Myanmar National League's fifth full regular season. The first round of the season is scheduled to begin on 1 February 2014 and end on 8 June 2013. The second round begins on 7 June 2014 and ends on 21 November 2014.

2015 Myanmar National League

The 2015 Myanmar National League is the 6th season of the Myanmar National League, the top Burmese professional league for association football clubs. The first round of the season began on 10 January 2015, with the last round ending on 31 October 2015. The Myanmar National League will be temporarily suspended for three months from 8 March to 22 June due to the 2015 Southeast Asian Games held in Singapore. The 2015 transfer window for Myanmar National League clubs will open from 19 May 2015 to 18 June 2015.

The 2015 General Aung San Shield is the first season of Myanmar knockout football competition. The tournament is organized by the Myanmar Football Federation. It is the league cup competition started in 2015 Myanmar football season. This cup succeeded the Myanmar Football Federation Cup. MFF has changed the cup competition style as follows.

The 2016 Myanmar National League, also known as the 2016 Ooredoo Myanmar National League, was the 7th season of the Myanmar National League, the top Burmese professional league for association football clubs since its founding in 2009.The transfer period for the 2016 season was from 1 November 2015 to 8 January 2016.

The MNL-2 2016 is the Myanmar National League's fourth full regular season. Four new clubs will join in 2016 MNL-2. There are Mahar United Football Club, United of Thanlyin Football Club, Thihadeepa United Football Club and City Stars Football Club. 2016 MNL-2 will start on 15 January. New clubs must play a qualifying round. Only three clubs will qualify to play in MNL-2.

The 2017 Myanmar National League, also known as the 2017 Max Cement Myanmar National League, is the 8th season of the Myanmar National League, the top Burmese professional league for association football clubs since its founding in 2009. The nation's highest professional football league was shaken up at the end of the 2016 season following a series of surprise announcements by MNL-1 teams Zwegapin United and Zeyar Shwe Myay stating that they were going to drop out of the League in the next season. Also, Manaw Myay announced the team would be disbanded, despite winning promotion to Myanmar’s premier domestic league by finishing the season's MNL-2 from the first place. A committee meeting between the Myanmar Football Federation and Myanmar National League officials held in Yangon on September 10 decided to reverse Southern Myanmar's relegation to MNL-2 in the next season, while Nay Pyi Taw received a surprise promotion into the first-tier league. Facing the loss of three squads and fears of scheduling complications for an 11-team league, MFF officials resolved to allow Southern Myanmar to remain in MNL-1, despite an 11th-place finish with only 14 points in the 2016 season. MNL-2 second-place finishers G.F.A, as well as third-place Nay Pyi Taw, were also promoted to the top league to maintain a 12-team schedule.

Yan Naing Oo is a footballer from Burma, and a winger for the Myanmar U-19 football team and Shan United. He was born in North Okkalarpa Township, Yangon Division. He also the key player of Myanmar U-20 National Football Team played in 2015 FIFA U-20 World Cup. He scored opening goal of 2015 FIFA U-20 World Cup.

Aee Soe is a Burmese professional footballer who plays as striker for Yangon United. and Myanmar national team. Aee Soe has been dubbed the "Neymar of Myanmar" by FOX Sports Asia in one of their videos due to their striking resemblance.

The 2019 Myanmar National League is the 10th season of the Myanmar National League, the top Myanmar professional league for association football clubs, since its establishment in 2009, also known as MPT Myanmar National League due to the sponsorship deal with Myanma Posts and Telecommunications. A total of 12 teams will compete in the league. The season began on 12 January 2019 and is scheduled to conclude on 24 September 2019.

The 2020 National League 2, also known as the 2020 MPT Myanmar National League 2, is the 8th season of the MNL-2, the second division league for association football clubs since its founding in 2012. 3 months after being temporarily cancelled, it got PERMANENTLY cancelled.

The 2020 General Aung San Shield is the sixth season of Myanmar knockout football competition. The tournament is organized by the Myanmar Football Federation. This cup succeeded the Myanmar Football Federation Cup. It got cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic in Myanmar.
