The 2010 V-League season was the 27th season of Vietnam's national football league and the 10th as a professional league.
The league and cup winners would enter the 2011 AFC Cup.
The bottom side at the end of the season get relegated. The side that finishes 2ND from bottom enters an end of season play-off match against the 2nd Division's 2nd placed side.
Ho Chi Minh City and Thanh Hóa were relegated to the 2010 Vietnam First Division after finishing the 2009 season in the bottom two places.
The two relegated teams were replaced by 2009 Vietnam First Division champions XM The Vissai Ninh Bình and runners-up Hòa Phát Hà Nội.
Nam Định defeated Thành phố Cần Thơ in the end of season promotion/relegation match to secure their place in the V. League.
Thể Công and Quân Khu 4 were renamed to Viettel F.C. and Navibank Sài Gòn at the end of the 2009 campaign. [1] Viettel then sold their V. League slot to Thanh Hóa, to allow them to stay in the V. League after being relegated the previous season. [2]

Vietnamese National Football Super Cup, also called the Thaco National Football Super Cup due to sponsorship reasons, is Vietnamese football's annual match contested between the champions of the previous V.League 1 season and the holders of the Vietnamese Cup. If the V.League 1 champions also won the Vietnamese Cup, then the league runners-up provide the opposition. The fixture was first played in the 1998–99 season.
The V.League 1, also called LPBank V.League 1 for sponsorship reasons, is the top professional football league in Vietnam, controlled by the Vietnam Professional Football Joint Stock Company (VPF). It is contested by 14 clubs who play each other on a home and away basis. The team finishing at the top at the end of the season is crowned the champion and enters the AFC Champions League Two.
The 2011 V-League was the 28th season of Vietnam's national football league and the 11th as a professional league.
The 2010 Vietnamese Cup was the 18th edition of the Vietnamese National Cup. The contest began on 23 January 2010 and finished on 28 August 2010.

The 2016 National Cup was the 24th edition of the Vietnamese National Cup. It was sponsored by Kienlongbank, and known as the Kienlongbank National Cup for sponsorship purposes. This year's competition, which features 24 teams including V.League 1's 14 teams and National First Division's 10 teams, ran until September 29.
The 2017 National Cup was the 25th edition of the Vietnamese National Cup. It was sponsored by Sứ Thiên Thanh, and known as the Sứ Thiên Thanh National Cup for sponsorship purposes. This year's competition, which features 21 teams including V.League 1's 14 teams and National First Division's 7 teams. The winner are qualified to AFC Cup.
