The 2010 PTT Pattaya Open was a women's professional tennis tournament played on outdoor hard courts. It was the 19th edition of the PTT Pattaya Open (formerly known as the Pattaya Women's Open) and was part of the International category on the 2010 WTA Tour. It took place at Dusit Thani Hotel in Pattaya, Thailand from 7 February through 14 February 2010.
The top two seeds were the defending champion Vera Zvonareva, Wimbledon quarterfinalist Sabine Lisicki. Vera Dushevina, 2007 champion Sybille Bammer and home favourite Tamarine Tanasugarn competed too.
First-seeded Vera Zvonareva won her second consecutive singles title at the event and earned $37,000 first-prize money. [1] [2]

Kimiko Date is a Japanese former professional tennis player. She reached the semifinals of the 1994 Australian Open, the 1995 French Open and the 1996 Wimbledon Championships, and won the Japan Open a record four times. She reached a career-high ranking of world No. 4 in 1995, and retired from professional tennis in November 1996.
Vera Igorevna Zvonareva is a Russian professional tennis player. She was introduced to tennis at the age of six and turned professional in 2000. Her career-high ranking by the Women's Tennis Association (WTA) is world No. 2. Zvonareva has won twelve WTA Tour singles titles, including the 2009 Indian Wells Open, and reached the finals of the 2008 WTA Tour Championships, 2010 Wimbledon Championships, and 2010 US Open. She also was a bronze medalist at the 2008 Beijing Olympics.In doubles, Zvonareva has won five major titles. Three came in women's doubles, first at the 2006 US Open, partnering Nathalie Dechy, and the 2012 Australian Open, with Svetlana Kuznetsova. Following her return to tennis, Zvonareva won her third major title at the 2020 US Open, partnering Laura Siegemund. Her other two major titles came in mixed doubles, the first at the 2004 US Open with Bob Bryan, and her second at the 2006 Wimbledon Championships, with Andy Ram.
