The 2010 Sioux City Bandits season was the team's tenth as the Sioux City Bandits, eleventh overall and second as a member of Indoor Football League (IFL). One of twenty-five teams competing in the IFL for the 2010 season, the Sioux City, Iowa-based Bandits were members of the Central West Division of the United Conference.
The Bandits played their home games at the Tyson Events Center in Sioux City, Iowa, under the direction of head coach Tommie Williams, until he resigned on June 10, 2010. [1] Jarrod DeGeorgia and Erv Strohbeen were named interim head coaches for the final two games.

The Omaha Beef is an indoor football team and a charter member of the Champions Indoor Football (CIF) league. Based in Omaha, Nebraska, the Beef play their home games at Ralston Arena in nearby Ralston.
The Sioux Falls Storm are a professional indoor football team based in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. The Storm joined the original Indoor Football League as an expansion team in 1999 as the Sioux Falls Cobras, and first took the field for the 2000 season. They currently participate in another iteration of the Indoor Football League; prior to that, the Storm were in United Indoor Football (UIF), where they won all four of the league's championship games. In the newer IFL, the Storm have won seven of the eleven championships in the league as of 2019.
The Wichita Wild were a professional indoor football team based in Wichita, Kansas. They were members of the Champions Professional Indoor Football League (CPIFL). The team was founded in 2006 as an independent indoor football franchise. In 2008, the team joined United Indoor Football (UIF). They joined the Indoor Football League (IFL) during the UIF and Intense Football League merger of 2009. In 2012, the team left the IFL to become charter members of the CPIFL. Brad Allen Ottis is a former defensive end in the National Football League. He played for the Los Angeles/St.Louis Rams and the Arizona Cardinals. Ottis played on the same Wayne State College football team as Byron Chamberlain, and Brett Salisbury. After playing in the NFL, Ottis signed with the Sioux City Bandits.
The Indoor Football League (IFL) is a professional indoor American football league created in 2008 out of the merger between the Intense Football League and United Indoor Football. It has one of the largest number of currently active teams among indoor football leagues. The league has operated continuously under the same name and corporate structure longer than any other current indoor football league. IFL players earn US$250 per game played. The season is typically 14 games long, plus playoffs of two or more rounds.

Founded in 2007 as part of United Indoor Football, the Colorado Ice became charter members of the IFL when the UIF merged with the Intense Football League before the 2009 season. The season ended abruptly on May 28, 2015, after the CIF ejected the team from the league and the team subsequently folded entirely.

One of nine teams in the CIF for the inaugural 2015 season, the Bandits finished the regular season with a 9-3 record to earn the number one seed in the playoffs, in which they defeated the Amarillo Venom, 83-52 in the semifinals and beat the Texas Revolution in Champions Bowl I, 76-61.

The 2018 Champions Indoor Football season was the fourth season of the CIF. The regular season began on March 3, when the Wichita Force traveled to Salina Liberty, losing 17–15. The regular season concluded on June 10. This was the second season in which four teams per conference advanced to the Champions Bowl playoffs, with the top seed in each conference hosting their conference's fourth seed, and second seeds hosting third seeds in the first round.
