The 2010 Southern Conference Baseball Tournament was held at Joseph P. Riley, Jr. Park in Charleston, SC from May 26 through May 30. Top seeded The Citadel won the tournament and earned the Southern Conference's automatic bid to the 2010 NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament. It was The Citadel's eighth SoCon tournament win.
The tournament used a double-elimination format. Only the top eight teams participate, so Wofford, UNC Greensboro, and Davidson were not in the field.

The Military Classic of the South is an American college football rivalry game played between The Citadel and the Virginia Military Institute. The first game between the two military schools was in 1920. The game has been played nearly continuously since World War II; since then, only five seasons have seen the game not played.
Fred Jordan is an American college baseball coach, who was the 26th Head Coach of The Citadel Bulldogs baseball team, located in Charleston, South Carolina, he held that position from 1992–2017. Jordan is a 1979 graduate of The Citadel.
The Citadel Bulldogs baseball team represents The Citadel in college baseball. They are classified as NCAA Division I and play in the Southern Conference. The Bulldogs are led by Tony Skole, who will lead his first season in 2018. They made their one appearance in the College World Series in 1990. They are the first and through 2016 only military school to appear in the College World Series. The Citadel has claimed eight Southern Conference Baseball Tournament titles and produced seven major league players.
The 2011 Southern Conference Baseball Tournament was held at Joseph P. Riley, Jr. Park in Charleston, SC from May 25 through May 29. Fourth seeded Georgia Southern won the tournament and earned the Southern Conference's automatic bid to the 2011 NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament. It was Georgia Southern's fifth SoCon tournament win and second in three years.
The 2012 Southern Conference Baseball Tournament took place at Fluor Field at the West End in Greenville, SC from May 23 through May 27. The final game was televised on ESPN3
The 2007 Southern Conference Baseball Tournament was held at Joseph P. Riley, Jr. Park in Charleston, SC from May 20 through May 24. Ninth seeded Wofford won the tournament and earned the Southern Conference's automatic bid to the 2007 NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament. It was the Terrier's first SoCon tournament win.

Top seeded Western Carolina won the tournament and earned the Southern Conference's automatic bid to the 1997 NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament. It was the Catamounts eighth tournament win. This was the first tournament to be held at Riley Park, which opened as the home venue of The Citadel for the 1997 season.

The annual event determines the conference champion of the Division I Southern Conference in college baseball. Third seeded Elon won their second tournament champion to earn the league's bid to the 2013 NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament. This was the last of 18 athletic championships held by the conference in the 2012–13 academic year.
The Citadel Bulldogs baseball represents The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina in college baseball at the NCAA Division I level. The program was established in 1899, and has continuously fielded a team since 1947. Their primary rivals are College of Charleston, Furman and VMI.
