The 2005 Southern Conference Baseball Tournament was held at Joseph P. Riley, Jr. Park in Charleston, SC from May 23 through May 27. Eighth seeded Furman won the tournament and earned the Southern Conference's automatic bid to the 2005 NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament. It was the Paladins' second SoCon tournament win.

Contents

The top eight baseball programs in the conference participated in the double-elimination tournament. Davidson, Wofford, and Appalachian State were not in the field. While College of Charleston dominated the regular season, Furman swept Davidson in the final regular season series to make the tournament, then swept the tournament for the unlikely championship.

Robert "Bob" McKillop is an American college basketball coach who is the head coach of the Davidson Wildcats men's team of the Atlantic 10 Conference.

The 2011 Southern Conference Men's Basketball Tournament took place between Friday, March 4 and Monday, March 7 in Chattanooga, Tennessee, at McKenzie Arena. The semifinals were televised by SportSouth, with the Southern Conference Championship Game televised by ESPN2. The championship matched the two teams with the best conference records, College of Charleston and Wofford. Although College of Charleston had won both regular season meetings against Wofford, the Terriers defeated the Cougars in the championship game, 77–67, to secure their bid to the 2011 NCAA Men's Division I Basketball Tournament, Wofford's second straight appearance.

Fourth seeded Georgia Southern won the tournament and earned the Southern Conference's automatic bid to the 2011 NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament. It was Georgia Southern's fifth SoCon tournament win and second in three years.

The annual event determined the conference champion of the Division I Southern Conference in college baseball. Georgia Southern won the tournament for the sixth time, earning the league's automatic bid to the 2014 NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament. This is the last of 18 athletic championships held by the conference in the 2013–14 academic year.

The Citadel Bulldogs baseball represents The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina in college baseball at the NCAA Division I level. The program was established in 1899, and has continuously fielded a team since 1947. Their primary rivals are College of Charleston, Furman and VMI.

The 2015 Southern Conference Baseball Tournament will be held from May 19 through May 24 at Joseph P. Riley, Jr. Park in Charleston, South Carolina. The annual event determines the conference champion of the Division I Southern Conference in college baseball. The tournament winner earns the league's bid to the 2015 NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament. This is the last of 20 athletic championships held by the conference in the 2013–14 academic year.
