The 2011 Southern Conference Baseball Tournament was held at Joseph P. Riley, Jr. Park in Charleston, SC from May 25 through May 29. Fourth seeded Georgia Southern won the tournament and earned the Southern Conference's automatic bid to the 2011 NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament. It was Georgia Southern's fifth SoCon tournament win and second in three years.
The tournament used a double-elimination format. Only the top eight teams participate, so Wofford, Davidson, and The Citadel were not in the field.

The Southern Conference (SoCon) is a collegiate athletic conference affiliated with the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I. Southern Conference football teams compete in the Football Championship Subdivision. Member institutions are located in the states of Alabama, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Virginia.
The Georgia Southern Eagles are the athletic teams of Georgia Southern University (GS). The Eagles compete in the Division I Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) and are members of the NCAA Division I Sun Belt Conference. Prior to joining the Sun Belt Conference in 2014, the Eagles were members of the Trans America Athletic Conference and the Southern Conference (SoCon). During their time at the Football Championship Subdivision (FCS/I-AA) level, the Eagles won six national championships.
The Appalachian State Mountaineers are the athletic teams that represent Appalachian State University in Boone, North Carolina, United States. The Mountaineers compete in Division I of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and were a member of the Southern Conference (SoCon) between 1972 and 2014. On July 1, 2014, Appalachian State moved to the Sun Belt Conference. Appalachian State fields varsity teams in 17 sports, 7 for men and 10 for women. The football team competes in the Division I Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS), formerly I-A, as a result of the transition to the Sun Belt. The wrestling team remains in the Southern Conference because the Sun Belt does not sponsor the sport. In field hockey, another sport not sponsored by the Sun Belt, Appalachian State joined the Mid-American Conference for the 2017 season after playing two seasons as an independent following the demise of its former league, the Northern Pacific Field Hockey Conference (NorPac). Appalachian State has Sun Belt rivalries with all of the East Division schools. Appalachian State's main Sun Belt rivals are Coastal Carolina, Georgia Southern, Louisiana, as well as a rekindled rivalry from the days in FCS with future Sun Belt member Marshall.
The Mercer Bears are the athletic teams of Mercer University in Macon, Georgia, United States. Mercer is the only private university in Georgia with an NCAA Division I athletic program and fields teams in eight men's and nine women's sports. The university competes in the Southern Conference for most sports. In 2013, the football team competed in the Pioneer Football League.
The 2010 NCAA Division I baseball season, play of college baseball in the United States organized by the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) at the Division I level, began on February 19, 2010. The season progressed through the regular season, many conference tournaments and championship series, and concluded with the 2010 NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament and 2010 College World Series. The College World Series, which consisted of the eight remaining teams in the NCAA Tournament, was held in its annual location of Omaha, Nebraska. It was the final College World Series held at Omaha's Rosenblatt Stadium, which closed following the event. It concluded on June 30, 2010, with the final game of the best of three championship series. South Carolina defeated UCLA two games to none to claim their first championship, which was also South Carolina's first national championship in any men's sport.

Second seeded Georgia Southern won the tournament and earned the Southern Conference's automatic bid to the 2009 NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament. It was Georgia Southern's fourth SoCon tournament win.
The 2004 Southern Conference Baseball Tournament was held at Joseph P. Riley, Jr. Park in Charleston, SC from May 26 through May 30. Third seeded The Citadel won the tournament and earned the Southern Conference's automatic bid to the 2004 NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament. It was the Bulldogs seventh SoCon tournament win.
The 2003 Southern Conference Baseball Tournament was held at Joseph P. Riley, Jr. Park in Charleston, SC from May 21 through May 24. Top seeded Western Carolina won the tournament and earned the Southern Conference's automatic bid to the 2003 NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament. It was Western Carolina's ninth tournament win, the most in SoCon history.
The 2002 Southern Conference Baseball Tournament was held at Joseph P. Riley, Jr. Park in Charleston, SC from May 22 through May 25. Fourth seeded Georgia Southern won the tournament and earned the Southern Conference's automatic bid to the 2002 NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament. It was the Eagles third tournament win.
The 2000 Southern Conference Baseball Tournament was held at Joseph P. Riley, Jr. Park in Charleston, SC from May 17 through May 21. Top seeded Georgia Southern won the tournament and earned the Southern Conference's automatic bid to the 2000 NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament. It was the Eagles second tournament win.
The 2013 Southern Conference Baseball Tournament was held from May 22 through May 26 at Fluor Field at the West End in Greenville, South Carolina. The annual event determines the conference champion of the Division I Southern Conference in college baseball. Third seeded Elon won their second tournament champion to earn the league's bid to the 2013 NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament. This was the last of 18 athletic championships held by the conference in the 2012–13 academic year.

The College World Series, consisting of the eight remaining teams in the NCAA Tournament and held annually in Omaha, Nebraska at TD Ameritrade Park Omaha, ended on June 25, 2014 with the final game of the best-of-three championship series between Vanderbilt and Virginia, won by Vanderbilt.

The Citadel Bulldogs baseball represents The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina in college baseball at the NCAA Division I level. The program was established in 1899, and has continuously fielded a team since 1947. Their primary rivals are College of Charleston, Furman and VMI.
The 2015 NCAA Division I baseball season, play of college baseball in the United States organized by the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) at the Division I level, began in February 2015. The season progressed through the regular season, many conference tournaments and championship series, and concluded with the 2015 NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament and 2015 College World Series. The College World Series, consisting of the eight remaining teams in the NCAA Tournament and held annually in Omaha, Nebraska at TD Ameritrade Park Omaha, ended on June 24, 2015, with the final game of the best-of-three championship series between Vanderbilt and Virginia, won by Virginia.
The 2015 Southern Conference Baseball Tournament will be held from May 19 through May 24 at Joseph P. Riley, Jr. Park in Charleston, South Carolina. The annual event determines the conference champion of the Division I Southern Conference in college baseball. The tournament winner earns the league's bid to the 2015 NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament. This is the last of 20 athletic championships held by the conference in the 2013–14 academic year.
The 1990 NCAA Division I baseball season, play of college baseball in the United States organized by the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) began in the spring of 1990. The season progressed through the regular season and concluded with the 1990 College World Series. The College World Series, held for the forty fourth time in 1990, consisted of one team from each of eight regional competitions and was held in Omaha, Nebraska at Johnny Rosenblatt Stadium as a double-elimination tournament. Georgia claimed the championship for the first time.
