The 2011 British 125 Championship season was the 24th British 125cc Championship season. The 125cc Championship is a support category for the British Superbike Championship, the 125cc category is the only 2 stroke class left in the British Superbike Championship.
The British Superbike Championship (BSB), currently known for sponsorship reasons as the Bennetts British Superbike Championship, is the leading road racing superbike championship in the United Kingdom, and is widely acknowledged as the premier domestic superbike racing series in the world.

Aprilia is an Italian motorcycle company, one of the brands owned by Piaggio. Having started as a manufacturer of bicycles it moved on to manufacture scooters and small-capacity motorcycles. In more recent times Aprilia has produced large sportbikes such as the 1,000 cc V-twin RSV Mille and the V4 RSV4. Aprilia has enjoyed considerable success in road-racing.
Massimiliano "Max" Biaggi is an Italian former Grand Prix motorcycle road racing World Champion and winner of the 2010 and 2012 World Superbike Championship. Throughout his racing career, he has won the 250cc World Championship four consecutive times, and finished as runner-up in both the 500cc and MotoGP championships. In 2007 he switched to the World Superbike Championship, finishing third overall as a rookie and earned his first Superbike World Championship in 2010 becoming only the 2nd European from outside the United Kingdom after Raymond Roche to do so. Biaggi announced his retirement from racing on 7 November 2012.
Marco Melandri is an Italian motorcycle road racer. He competes in the Superbike World Championship for Italy-based GRT team using Yamaha R1 machines with teammate Sandro Cortese. In July 2019, Melandri announced his intended retirement at the end of the season.
Neil Stuart Hodgson is a former British motorcycle racer who won the 2000 British Superbike Championship, and the 2003 Superbike World Championship titles. He then went on to have a moderately successful four years in the American Superbike Championship, with a best 5th place championship finish.
Ryuichi Kiyonari (清成龍一) is a professional motorcycle road racer. For 2019 he is competing in World Superbikes with a new team formed by Honda Racing Corporation and Moriwaki Engineering, using the 2019 Honda Fireblade and teammate Leon Camier.
Chaz Davies, is a British motorcycle racer. He is the 2011 World Supersport champion and also the 2011 BBC Wales Sports Personality of the Year.
Alfonso González Nieto, better known as Fonsi Nieto, is a former Grand Prix motorcycle road racer and the nephew of successful Grand Prix motorcycle road racer Ángel Nieto. After success in the 250cc class he moved to World Superbikes and made one MotoGP start. For 2010 he returned to the Grand Prix scene in the newly formed Moto2 category. Nieto announced his retirement from competition in early 2011 after failing to recover from injuries suffered when racing at Indianapolis in 2010.
Fabrizio Lai is a Grand Prix motorcycle road racer from Italy. He currently competes in the CIV Superbike Championship, aboard a MV Agusta F4.
Karel Abraham is a Czech motorcycle racer. He races in the MotoGP World Championship for the Avintia Racing. In 2016, Abraham rode a BMW S1000RR in the Superbike World Championship for Milwaukee BMW.
James Westmoreland,, also known as 'Westy', from Hedon, Hull, East Riding of Yorkshire, is an English motorcycle racer. In the 2019-2020 season, he will ride a Suzuki GSXR 1000 in the World Endurance Championship.
Daniel Craig Linfoot is a superbike rider who until 2018 competed in the British Superbike Championship for Honda Racing, a semi-private Honda-supported race team based in Louth, Lincolnshire,aboard a Honda Fireblade CBR1000RR SP2. For 2019, he will ride for TAG Yamaha aboard a Yamaha YZF-R1.
Chris Martin is a British superbike rider who is currently competing in the British Superbike Championship for the Gearlink Kawasaki team. Martin is a previous British Superbike Privateers Cup Champion in 2006.
James Lodge is a British motorcycle racer who is a two-time British 125cc champion 2009 & 2010. Lodge also rode two wildcard races in the 125cc category of the Great British Moto GP rounds of 2009 and 2010, failing to finish both times. He competed in the National Superstock 600 Championship in 2014. Lodge gained his first podium in the class at the Brands Hatch Indy circuit at the first race of the 2012 season.
The British Supersport Championship, National Superstock 1000 & 600 and the British Motostar Championship are the four main championship series that are run as support races alongside the British Superbike Championship. In 2012 the Motostar category replaced the defunct 125cc category that had been running since the start of the British Superbike Championship in 1988, Motostar was open to both 125 and 250 machines similar to Moto 3 machines. The Supersport racing started in 1989 and is a class comprising 600cc Motorcycles that are allowed racing modifications and custom tuning. It wasn't until 2000 that the Superstock 1000 category replaced the defunct 250cc category, with the Superstock 600 championship being the newest addition on the support series in 2008. In 2010 the Superstock 1000 and Superstock 600 categories also supported the British rounds of the Superbike World Championship and the Moto GP both at Silverstone.
The 2011 National Superstock 600 Championship season was the fourth season of the British National Superstock 600 Championship. The motorcycles are stock 600cc bikes, this means that not many racing modifications can be made to the bikes, to promote a close and affordable racing environment. The class is strictly for riders aged 16–25, with riders that finish the previous year in the top three of the championship are not eligible for the following season.
Danny Kent is a British motorcycle racer, best known for winning the 2015 Moto3 World Championship. In doing so he became Great Britain's first Grand Prix solo motorcycle world champion since Barry Sheene in 1977, as well as the first British lightweight class champion since Dave Simmonds in 1969.
Taylor Mackenzie is a former Grand Prix motorcycle racer from Great Britain. He is the son of a former motorcycle racer, Niall Mackenzie. He competes in the National Superstock 1000 Championship, a support-class in BSB, aboard a BMW S1000RR.
Deane Brown is a former Grand Prix motorcycle racer from Great Britain. He has previously competed in the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup, the British 125cc Championship, the British National Superstock 600 Championship and the British National Superstock 1000 Championship.
Alexander Thomas "Alex" Lowes is an English motorcycle rider. He currently competes in the Superbike World Championship aboard a Yamaha YZF-R1 for Pata Yamaha Official WorldSBK Team. He won 2016, 2017 and 2018 Suzuka 8 Hours and was the 2013 title holder of the British Superbike Championship riding a Honda CBR1000RR for Samsung Honda. He previously raced in the British Supersport Championship and the FIM Superstock 1000 Cup. He is the identical twin brother of fellow rider Sam Lowes.
