The 2011 R League is reserve league of 2011 K-League. 2011 season was held from March 10 to October 13. In this season, Police FC and all K League club's reserves participate the league, except newly formed Gwangju FC. Each team will be played 21 games in home and away.

Daegu FC South Korean association football club

Daegu FC is a South Korean professional football club based in Daegu. The club was founded as a community club at the end of 2002, and made their K League 1 debut in 2003. Daegu has played mostly in the K League 1 but was relegated at the end of the 2013 season to the K League 2. They were promoted back to the top tier for the 2017 season and went on to win the Korean FA Cup in 2018, which qualified them for the 2019 AFC Champions League. The club's best season in K League 1 was in 2021, when they finished third out of twelve teams. The same year, they were also runners-up of the Korean FA Cup and made it to the Round of 16 in the 2021 AFC Champions League.

Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors South Korean football club

Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors is a professional football club based in North Jeolla Province, South Korea. Jeonbuk play at the Jeonju World Cup Stadium in Jeonju, the capital city of the province. Jeonbuk has won the K League a record eight times, first in 2009. They have also won the Korean FA Cup four times, in 2000, 2003, 2005 and 2020. The club has won the AFC Champions League twice, first in 2006, becoming the first club from East Asia to win the tournament since the AFC Champions League was launched in its current format in 2003, and for a time being the only team in the world to have become continental champions without ever having won a domestic league title. This title guaranteed Jeonbuk's participation in the FIFA Club World Cup in December 2006. They won the second title in 2016.

In sports, a reserve team is a team composed of players under contract to a club but who do not normally play in matches for the first team. Reserve teams often include back-up players from the first team, young players who need playing time to improve their skills, as well as members of the first team recovering from injury. In some countries, reserve or development teams compete in entirely separate competitions from first teams, while some countries allow reserve teams or farm teams to compete in the same league system as their club's first team, although usually in separate divisions.

Liverpool F.C. Reserves is the reserve team of Liverpool F.C. It is the most senior level of the Liverpool academy beneath the first team. In the summer of 2012, the whole English reserve football system was overhauled and replaced with an Under 21 league system, the Professional Development League. Liverpool's Reserve team became the Liverpool under 21 team and competes in the Professional Development League 1 which is also known by its sponsorship name of Barclays under 21 Premier League. Selangor Football Club II , commonly referred to as Selangor F.C. II, is a professional Malaysian football reserve team club of Selangor F.C., and based in Shah Alam, in the state of Selangor. The club are nicknamed the Young Giants. Founded in 1967 as part of the sports and recreation club for the Perbadanan Kemajuan Negeri Selangor. The club formerly known as "PKNS F.C." was merged with Football Association of Selangor, then converted into a reserve team in part of the feeder club regulations for Selangor F.C. and rebranded to be known as Selangor F.C. II, which is currently playing in the Premier League season and holding home games at UiTM Stadium with a 10,000-seat capacity.

Bayern Munich II are the reserve team of German association football club Bayern Munich, they currently play in the Regionalliga Bayern. In 2010–11 they played in the 3. Liga, having qualified for its inaugural season in 2008, and have consistently played at the third level of German football – they played in the Regionalliga Süd from its formation in 1994 to 2008, when it was usurped by the 3. Liga. They have generally achieved at least mid-table finishes at this level, and won the Regionalliga Süd title in 2004. In 2010–11 Bayern II finished last in the 3. Liga and was thus relegated to the Regionalliga. They afterwards regained promotion by winning the 2018–19 Regionalliga and won the 3. Liga in 2019–20. The R League, also known as the Korean Professional Football Reserve League, is the league for reserve teams of professional association football clubs in South Korea. The league started in 1990 with five reserve teams of K League member clubs: Pohang Steelworks, Yukong Elephants, Daewoo Royals, Hyundai Horang-i and Lucky-Goldstar. Pohang Steelworks won the inaugural title, finishing two point ahead of Yukong Elephants to lift the crown. But league was shortlived for only one year and reserve teams participated in semi-professional tournaments such as the National Football Championship.

The team formerly known PKNP FC was then converted into a reserve team as part of the feeder club regulations and will begin the 2020 season as a reserve team of Perak FC. and will play in Malaysia Premier League, holding home games at Perak Stadium, with a 27,036-seat capacity.
