The 2012 Brasileiro de Marcas season was the second season of the Brasileiro de Marcas. It begin on April 22 at the Interlagos and ended on December 2 at the Curitiba, after sixteen races. Several changes occurred in the championship. Mitsubishi entered with the 2012 version of Mitisubishi Lancer GT, Honda changed to the ninth generation Honda Civic, Chevrolet used Chevrolet Cruze which replaced the Chevrolet Astra, and Toyota became an official manufacturer on the championship with Toyota Corolla XRS. Honda driver Ricardo Mauricio won the championship. He did not win any races, but finished on the podium at ten of sixteen. Toyota won the manufacturers' championship. [2]

Race calendar and results

The provisional calendar was announced by the championship organisers on 20 November 2011, with Curitiba to host two races, include a support at the FIA WTCC Race of Brazil. [3] On 25 May 2012, the race at Rio de Janeiro was moved to August. [4] All races were held in Brazil.

Stock Car Pro Series, formerly known as Stock Car Brasil, is a touring car auto racing series based in Brazil organized by Vicar. The 2009 200 km of Buenos Aires was the sixth edition of this race in the TC2000 season. The race was held in the Autódromo Juan y Óscar Gálvez in Buenos Aires.

The 2011 Copa Caixa Stock Car season was the 33rd Stock Car Brasil season. It began on March 20 at the Curitiba and ended on November 6 at the Velopark, after twelve rounds. For this season, the Manufacturer Peugeot announced that the 408 was to be the new representative in the championship replacing the 307.

For the first seasons some teams have the support of manufactures, Carlos Alves Competições and AMG Motorsport by Chevrolet, Amir Nasr Racing and Officer ProGP by Ford and Full Time Sports by Honda.

After a year more complicated of the category, Formula 3 Sudamericana becomes organized by Vicar, the same of Stock Car Brasil and Brasileiro de Marcas.

The 2013 Campeonato Brasileiro de Turismo also known as Stock Car Brasil Light was the first season of the new Stock Car Brasil second tier championship replacing Copa Chevrolet Montana. The chassis, designed by JL company is similar that used in Stock Car Brasil with V8 engine.

The 2017 Stock Car Brasil Championship is the thirty-ninth season of the Stock Car Brasil. The season marks the exit of Peugeot. The manufacturer entered in the series in 2007 and won the championship five times, including the last two seasons.
