The 2012 Emir of Qatar Cup is the 40th edition of the cup tournament in men's football. It is played by the 1st and 2nd level divisions of the Qatari football league structure.

Al-Gharafa Sports Club is a Qatari multisports club based in the Al Gharrafa district of Al Rayyan. It is best known for its football team, although it also has teams for other sports. It was established on 6 June 1979 as Al-Ittihad and later officially incorporated into the Qatar Football Association on 23 September of that same year. The club was officially renamed to its current form in 2004 to better represent the district of Al-Gharafa, of which the club belongs to. The 2009-10 Qatari League or Qatari Stars League season will be the 37th edition of top-level football championship in Qatar and starts in September.

Group C was one of four groups of nations competing at the 2011 AFC Asian Cup. The group's first round of matches were played on 10 January and its last matches were played on 18 January. All six group matches were played at venues in Doha, Qatar. The group consisted of Australia, South Korea, 2008 AFC Challenge Cup champions India and Bahrain.

The 2021 FIFA Arab Cup was the 10th edition of the Arab Cup, the Arab world's national team football tournament; it was the first edition under FIFA's jurisdiction. It took place between 30 November and 18 December in Qatar, as a prelude and test event to the 2022 FIFA World Cup which was also held in Qatar.

The 2021–22 Qatari League, also known as Qatar Stars League or QNB Stars League, was the 48th edition of top-level football championship in Qatar. The league kicked off on 11 September 2021 and ended on 11 March 2022. Al-Sadd were defending champions and won the league for a second straight undefeated season.

The 2018 Qatari Stars Cup was the eighth edition of Qatari Stars Cup.
