The following are the handball events of the year 2012 throughout the world. Tournaments include international, professional (club), youth and amateur levels.
SG Flensburg-Handewitt is a professional handball club from Flensburg and Handewitt in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany. Currently, they compete in the Handball-Bundesliga and EHF European League. They play home matches at Flens-Arena. Since forming in 1990, the club has been one of Germany's most successful teams domestically and in European tournaments. The club is best known for winning the EHF Champions League in 2014 by defeating arch-rivals THW Kiel in the final 30–28.
Lars Krogh Jeppesen is a former Danish handball left back, who played for KIF Kolding and previous Danish national team. He has won the 2008 European Men's Handball Championship along with two bronze medals in 2004 and 2002. He played for German top clubs SG Flensburg-Handewitt and THW Kiel. He also played two seasons for Spanish FC Barcelona.
The International Handball Federation (IHF) is the administrative and controlling body for handball and beach handball. IHF is responsible for the organisation of handball's major international tournaments, notably the IHF World Men's Handball Championship, which commenced in 1938, and the IHF World Women's Handball Championship, which commenced in 1957.
Steinar Ege is a retired Norwegian handballer and handball coach. He last played for Handball-Bundesliga side THW Kiel. Ege was a member of the Norwegian national handball team, which he represented over 250 times during his career.
Niklas Landin Jacobsen is a Danish handballer for Aalborg Håndbold and the Denmark national team.
Erlend Mamelund is a retired Norwegian handball player who played for Haslum HK and for the Norwegian national team.
Bojana Popović née Petrović, is a handball coach and a retired Montenegrin handballer. She is considered by many to be the best female handball player of the past decade, despite not being given any official recognition. After winning the Women's EHF Champions League with Budućnost and a silver medal at the 2012 Olympic Games with the Montenegro national team, Bojana Popović decided to retire from handball. However, in June 2016 Popović announced she would come out of retirement and make herself available for selection by the Montenegro national handball team to compete at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro.
Rhein-Neckar Löwen is a professional handball club founded in 2002, based in Mannheim, Germany. The club competes in the German Handball-Bundesliga and continentally in EHF European League. Rhein-Neckar Löwen play their home games in SAP Arena, with a seating capacity of 14,500.
This is a list of the 2010 European Men's Handball Championship squads. Each team had until 15 December 2009 to register 28 players. Of these 28 players, the national associations must choose 16 players at least one day before the tournament. After this a maximum of two players can be replaced with a player from the original 28. After the main round has started, yet another player can be replaced.

René Toft Hansen is a Danish professional handballer for Bjerringbro-Silkeborg Håndbold and the Denmark national team. He is the oldest of 5 siblings, all of which are handball players: His brother Henrik, who also plays for the Denmark national team, and the three younger siblings: Allan Toft Hansen of Mors-Thy Håndbold, Majbritt Toft Hansen of Viborg HK and Jeanette Toft Hansen. All five siblings play on the pivot position.
Marcus Ahlm is a Swedish handballer. He retired from handball in 2013 after playing for German Handball-Bundesliga team THW Kiel.
Sander Sagosen is a Norwegian professional handball player for Kolstad Håndball and the Norwegian national team. At club level, he has won major titles in four countries, including league championships in Norway, Denmark, France and Germany. With the national team, Sagosen placed second at the World Championship in 2017 and 2019, and finished third at the 2020 European Championship. Sagosen was included on the All-Star team for five consecutive major international competitions as either best centre back or left back.
Zamalek Handball Club, also called "Commandos" commonly known as Zamalek H.C, or simply as Zamalek SC, is an Egyptian handball team based in Giza, Egypt. It is a part of the Zamalek SC multi sports club, and was founded on 1958. The club competes domestically in the Egyptian League and in the African Champions League It is the most successful handball club in Egypt and Africa with a record number of domestic and international titles.
Nenad Peruničić is a Serbian handball coach and former player.
The 2015 IHF Men's Junior World Championship was the 20th edition of the tournament and held at Brazil from 19 July to 1 August 2015. The decision to select Brazil as the host was announced 1 August 2014. France won their first title by defeating Denmark 26–24 in the final.
Nikolaj Bredahl Jacobsen is a Danish retired handball wing player and current coach of the Danish national team. He was named World Coach of the Year in 2021 by IHF. He is the first manager for a national team to win three world championships in a row (2019-2023).
Magnus Landin Jacobsen is a Danish professional handballer for THW Kiel and the Danish national team.
The 2025 IHF World Men's Handball Championship, will be the 29th event hosted by the International Handball Federation. It will be held in Croatia, Denmark and Norway from 14 January to 2 February 2025. This edition marks the first time the world championship is being held in three countries.
