The 2013 Colonial Athletic Association men's soccer season was the 18th season of men's varsity soccer in the conference. The season marked the first for the incoming Charleston Cougars. The 2013 CAA Men's Soccer Tournament was played at Vidas Field on the campus of regular-season champion Drexel in Philadelphia.

The defending regular season champions were the Drexel Dragons. The Northeastern Huskies were the defending tournament champions. Drexel successfully defended its regular-season title from last season, and also added the conference tournament crown.

The Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) is a collegiate athletic conference affiliated with the NCAA's Division I whose full members are located in East Coast states from Massachusetts to South Carolina. The Charleston Cougars are the varsity intercollegiate athletic teams representing the College of Charleston in Charleston, South Carolina. The Cougars compete in NCAA Division I and are currently members of the Colonial Athletic Association. The university sponsors 20 varsity sports teams including men and women's basketball, cross country, golf, soccer and tennis; women's-only dance team, equestrian, beach volleyball, softball, track and field and volleyball; men's-only baseball; and co-ed sailing and cheerleading. The university's most successful sports are co-ed sailing, which has won 14 national championships since 1986, women's volleyball, which has qualified for the NCAA Tournament seven times since 2002 and men's baseball, which has qualified for the NCAA Tournament seven times since 2004.

The Charleston Cougars men's basketball team is an NCAA Division I college basketball team competing in the Colonial Athletic Association. The 2011–12 VCU Rams men's basketball team represented Virginia Commonwealth University during the 2011–12 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. It was the 44th season of the University fielding a men's basketball program. Led by third-year head coach Shaka Smart, the Rams were coming off a season marked by a run to the Final Four. Expected to finish lower in the CAA regular season standings, the Rams finished as regular season runners-up with a 15–3 conference record, before winning the 2012 CAA Men's Basketball Championship against Drexel, 59–56, earning their 11th ever berth into the NCAA Tournament. It was also the first season since 1984–85 that the Rams consecutively qualified for the NCAA Tournament.

The tournament will be played at Drexel University in Philadelphia on the Vidas Athletic Center.

The 2016 Colonial Athletic Association women's soccer season was the 13th season in the conference since its inaugural season in 1993.

The 2017 CAA Women's Soccer Tournament was the postseason women's soccer tournament for the Colonial Athletic Association held from October 29 through November 5, 2017. The tournament quarterfinals were held at campus sites, while the semifinals and final took place at Hofstra University Soccer Stadium in Hempstead, New York. The six-team single-elimination tournament consisted of three rounds based on seeding from regular season conference play. The defending champions were the Northeastern Huskies, but they failed to defend their title, losing 2–1 to the Hofstra Pride in the final. The conference tournament title was the fourth for the Hofstra women's soccer program and the third for head coach Simon Riddiough.

The 2018 CAA Women's Soccer Tournament was the postseason women's soccer tournament for the Colonial Athletic Association held from October 26 through November 3, 2018. The tournament was held at campus sites, with the higher seed hosting each game. The defending champions were the Hofstra, who successfully defended their title, beating the James Madison Dukes 2–0 in the final. The conference tournament title was the fifth for the Hofstra women's soccer program and the fourth for head coach Simon Riddiough.
