The 2013 Portland Timbers season was the 3rd season for the Portland Timbers in Major League Soccer (MLS), the top flight professional soccer league in the United States and Canada.
Caleb Porter was announced as the Timbers head coach on August 29, 2012, but finished out coaching his final year at the University of Akron. He was introduced as the head coach on January 8, 2013. [1]

Donovan Ricketts is a Jamaican former professional footballer who played as a goalkeeper and is currently a goalkeepers coach for Carolina Core FC. It was the final match of the MLS is Back Tournament, a competition marking the resumption of the 2020 Major League Soccer season following the initial wave of the COVID-19 pandemic. The match was played behind closed doors due to the pandemic and was broadcast on ESPN beginning at 8:00 p.m. Eastern Time.
