The 2013 Dutch Artistic Gymnastic Championships were held in Rotterdam. [1] It was a smaller competition than usual, as it was held after the 2012 Summer Olympics.[ citation needed ]
Vera van Pol won the all-around. [1] Most memorably, Eythora Thorsdottir, who is now a European medallist, won every event but the floor exercise in the Junior competition.[ citation needed ]
Joan Derk, Baron van der Capellen tot den Pol was a Dutch nobleman who played a prominent role in the revolutionary events that preceded the formation of the Batavian Republic. As a member of the Patriots and inspired by the American Revolution, he wrote the noted pamphlet Aan het Volk van Nederland, pleading for a more liberal society and the end of the Stadtholder regime, which had been marked by corruption and nepotism. He was also an ardent supporter of the legal recognition of the recently created United States of America.
Go Ahead Eagles are a Dutch professional football club from the city of Deventer in the province of Overijssel. They play in the Eredivisie, the top tier of Dutch football, having achieved promotion from the second tier Eerste Divisie in the 2020–21 season. The club's home stadium since 1920 is De Adelaarshorst. The club have won the national championship on four occasions, in 1917, 1922, 1930 and 1933.
The Van Cliburn International Piano Competition is an American piano competition by The Cliburn, first held in 1962 in Fort Worth, Texas and hosted by the Van Cliburn Foundation. Initially held at Texas Christian University, the competition has been held at the Bass Performance Hall since 2001. The competition is named in honour of Van Cliburn, who won the first International Tchaikovsky Competition, in 1958.
Władysław Kozakiewicz is a Lithuanian-born retired Polish athlete who specialised in the pole vault. He is best known for winning the gold medal at the 1980 Summer Olympics in Moscow and the bras d'honneur gesture which he showed to the hostile Soviet crowd. In Poland, where the gesture was viewed as a symbol of resistance against Soviet dominance, it became known as "Kozakiewicz's gesture". In addition, he won several medals at continental level, won two Summer Universiades and broke the pole vault world record three times, twice outdoors and once indoors. He is also a ten-time Polish champion.
Theodora Elisabeth Gerarda "Anky" van Grunsven is a Dutch dressage champion who is the only rider to record three successive Olympic wins in the same event. Along with her Olympic successes, she has won numerous medals at the World Equestrian Games (WEG), and is the only rider to have competed at every WEG since they began in 1990. Between 1990 and 2006, she competed at the Games in dressage, but in 2010 she was named as part of the Dutch reining team, marking a major change in discipline.
Hedwiges Eduard Martinus Maduro is a Dutch professional football coach and former player who is the head coach of Eredivisie club Almere City. Mainly a defensive midfielder during his playing career, he could also operate as a central defender, where he started his career at Ajax at the age of 19.
Jan Kromkamp is a Dutch former professional footballer who played as a right-back. He manages CSV Apeldoorn.
Pablo "Pol" Amat Escudé is a Spanish retired field hockey player, who played as a striker. In 2008 he was awarded World Hockey Player of the Year, becoming the first Spaniard to win the award.

She won a bronze medal with the Dutch team at the 2018 European Championships. She is the 2015 and 2018 Dutch all-around champion. She competed at the 2013, 2014, 2018, and 2021 World Championships.
The Dutch Championships in Artistic Gymnastics is an annual competition inviting Dutch gymnasts as well as others worldwide. It also serves as the National Championships for the Dutch gymnasts.
The 2012 KNVB Cup Final was a football match between PSV Eindhoven and Heracles Almelo that took place on 8 April 2012 at De Kuip, Rotterdam. It was the final match of the 2011–12 KNVB Cup competition and the 94th Dutch Cup final.
