2013 Olympic Hopes

The 2013 Olympic Hopes competition was a women's artistic gymnastics competition for junior gymnasts. The competition was held in Penza, Russia from June 19-21. The gymnasts competing were from Russia, Ukraine, Brazil, Turkey, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, and Lithuania.

Svetlana Khorkina Russian artistic gymnast

Svetlana Vasilyevna Khorkina is a retired Russian artistic gymnast. She competed at the 1996 Summer Olympics, the 2000 Summer Olympics, and the 2004 Summer Olympics. During her career, Khorkina won seven Olympic medals and twenty World Championship medals. Over time, she medaled in every event at the World Artistic Gymnastics Championships. She was also the first gymnast to win three all-around titles at the World Championships and only the second female artistic gymnast ever, after Nadia Comăneci, to win three European All-Around titles. Khorkina is regarded as one of the most successful female gymnasts of all time.

Nastia Liukin Russian-American 2008 Olympic gymnastics all-around champion

Anastasia ValeryevnaLiukina is a Russian-born American former artistic gymnast. She is the 2008 Olympic All-Around champion, a five-time Olympic medalist, the 2005 and 2007 world champion on the balance beam, and the 2005 world champion on the uneven bars. She is also a four-time all-around U.S. national champion, winning twice as a junior and twice as a senior. With nine World Championships medals, seven of them individual, Liukin is tied with Shannon Miller for the third-highest tally of World Championship medals. Liukin also tied Miller's record as the American gymnast having won the most medals in a single non-boycotted Olympic Games.

Ksenia Afanasyeva Russian artistic gymnast

Ksenia Dmitrievna Afanasyeva is a retired Russian artistic gymnast who competed at the 2008 and 2012 Summer Olympics. She is the 2011 world champion on floor exercise, the 2013 and 2015 European floor champion, and the 2013 Universiade vault and floor champion. Widely regarded as one of the most original and artistic gymnasts of all time, she retired from elite gymnastics in July 2016 due to kidney disease, a month away from the 2016 Summer Olympics, for which she was the Russian team's first alternate.

The Artistic Gymnastics World Cup is a competition series for artistic gymnastics sanctioned by the Fédération Internationale de Gymnastique (FIG). It is one of the few tournaments in artistic gymnastics officially organized by FIG, as well as the World Championships and the gymnastics competitions at the Olympic Games and the Youth Olympics. Beginning in the 2017-2020 quadrennium, the All-Around and Individual Apparatus World Cup series are used to qualify a maximum of seven spots to the Olympic Games.

Aliya Mustafina Former Russian artistic gymnast

Aliya Farkhatovna Mustafina is a retired Russian artistic gymnast and current coach. She is the 2010 all-around world champion, the 2013 European all around champion, the 2012 and 2016 Olympic uneven bars champion, and a seven-time Olympic medalist, tied with Simone Biles for the most Olympic medals in the last 20 years of any women’s artistic gymnast.

Aly Raisman American olympic gymnast and gold medalist

Alexandra Rose Raisman is a retired American artistic gymnast and two-time Olympian. She was captain of both the 2012 "Fierce Five" and 2016 "Final Five" U.S. women's Olympic gymnastics teams, which won their respective team competitions.

Viktoria Komova Russian artistic gymnast

Viktoria Aleksandrovna Komova is a former Russian artistic gymnast. She is a two-time Olympic medalist, having won silver medals in the all-around and team events at the 2012 Olympics. She is also the 2011 world uneven bars champion and all-around silver medalist, and the 2015 co-world champion on uneven bars. At the junior level, she was the 2010 Youth Olympics all-around champion, uneven bars champion, vault champion, and floor exercise bronze medalist. McKayla Rose Maroney is a retired American artistic gymnast. She was a member of the American women's gymnastics team dubbed the Fierce Five at the 2012 Summer Olympics, where she won a gold medal in the team and an individual silver medal in the vault event. Maroney was also a member of the gold-winning American team at the 2011 World Championships, where she won gold medals in the team and vault competitions. She defended her World title and won the gold medal on vault at the 2013 World Championships, becoming the first U.S. female gymnast to defend a World Championship vault title.

Diana Bulimar Romanian artistic gymnast

Diana Laura Bulimar is a Romanian artistic gymnast and a 2-time European Champion with Romania. She was part of the Romanian team at the 2012 Summer Olympics that won the bronze medal.

Anastasia Grishina Russian artistic gymnast

Anastasia Nikolayevna Grishina is a former Russian artistic gymnast. She was a member of the silver medal winning Russian team at the 2012 Summer Olympics, and the 2013 European all around bronze medalist.

Ellie Black Canadian artistic gymnast

Elsabeth Ann "Ellie" Black is a Canadian artistic gymnast. She is a three-time Olympian, having represented her country at the 2012, 2016, and 2020 Olympic Games. She is the 2017 World all-around silver medalist, making her the first Canadian gymnast to win a world all-around medal. Black is also the 2018 Commonwealth Games all-around champion, a two time Pan American Games all-around champion, and a six-time Canadian national all-around champion. At the 2016 Olympic Games, Black finished 5th in the individual all-around. At the 2020 Olympic Games, Black placed 4th in the balance beam final, the highest placement in the Olympics for a Canadian gymnast.

Giulia Steingruber Swiss artistic gymnast

Giulia Steingruber is a retired Swiss artistic gymnast. She is the 2016 Olympic and 2017 World bronze medalist on vault. Additionally she is the 2015 European all-around champion, a four-time European vault champion and the 2016 European floor exercise champion.

The Rhythmic Gymnastics World Cup is a competition for rhythmic gymnastics sanctioned by the Fédération Internationale de Gymnastique (FIG). It is one of the few tournaments in rhythmic gymnastics officially organized by FIG, as well as the World Championships, the gymnastics competitions at the Olympic Games and the Youth Olympics, and the rhythmic gymnastics events at the World Games. The World Cup series should not be confused with the Rhythmic Gymnastics Grand Prix series, which is neither officially organized nor promoted by FIG.

Anna Aleksandrovna Rodionova is a Russian former artistic gymnast. She competed at the 2013 World Championships and won a bronze medal at the 2014 European Championships.

2014 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships Gymnastics competition

The 2014 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships was held in Nanning, China at the Guangxi Gymnasium from 3–12 October 2014. The competition was the fourth time a World Artistic Gymnastics Championships has been held in the continent of Asia.

The 30th Rhythmic Gymnastics European Championships took place from June 10 to June 15, 2014 at the newly opened National Gymnastics Arena in Baku, Azerbaijan. 33 participating federations with their juniors and seniors gymnasts participated at the event.

Andreea Iridon Romanian artistic gymnast

Andreea Maria Iridon is a former Romanian artistic gymnast. She won a silver on balance beam and a bronze on uneven bars at the 2015 European Games. At the 2014 Junior European Championships Iridon won silvers on beam and floor, and a bronze with the team.

Marina Nekrasova Russian-born Azerbaijani artistic gymnast

Marina Nekrasova is a Russian-born artistic gymnast who has represented Azerbaijan since 2013. She is the 2019 Summer Universiade vault champion. At the 2017 Islamic Solidarity Games, she won gold in the team event and silver medals on the vault and balance beam. She is also a three-time World Challenge Cup vault champion. She competed at the 2020 Olympic Games, making her the first woman artistic gymnast to represent Azerbaijan at the Olympic Games.

FIG World Cup refers to a number of events organized by the International Gymnastics Federation (FIG) across seven competitive gymnastics disciplines: 1) acrobatic gymnastics, 2) aerobic gymnastics, 3) men's artistic gymnastics, 4) women's artistic gymnastics, 5) women's rhythmic gymnastics, 6) trampoline and tumbling, and 7) parkour.
