The 2013 Kansas Jayhawks football team represented the University of Kansas in the 2013 NCAA Division I FBS football season. The Jayhawks were led by second year head coach Charlie Weis and played their home games at Memorial Stadium. They were a member of the Big 12 Conference.
On September 21, with a 13–10 win over Louisiana Tech, the Jayhawks ended a 22-game losing streak to FBS opponents. [1] On November 16, the Jayhawks ended their 27 conference game losing streak with a 31–19 defeat of West Virginia. [2] The conference win was the Jayhawks first conference win since their 52–45 defeat of Colorado during the 2010 season.

The Big 12 Conference is a collegiate athletic conference headquartered in Irving, Texas. The conference consists of ten full-member universities. It is a member of Division I of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) for all sports. Its football teams compete in the Football Bowl Subdivision, the higher of two levels of NCAA Division I football competition. Its ten members, located in Iowa, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, and West Virginia, include eight public and two private, Christian schools. Additionally, the Big 12 has 11 affiliate members—eight for the sport of wrestling, one of which is also a member in women's equestrianism; one for women's gymnastics; and two for women's rowing. The Big 12 Conference is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization incorporated in Delaware.
Turner Hillery Gill is an American college athletic administrator and former gridiron football player and coach. He is the Executive Director of Student-Athlete and Staff Development the University of Arkansas, a position he assumed in 2019. Gill served as the head football head coach at the University at Buffalo from 2006 to 2009, the University of Kansas from 2010 to 2011, and Liberty University from 2012 to 2018, compiling a career college football coaching record of 72–84. He was one of 11 black head coaches in the NCAA Division I Football Bowl Subdivision at the time of his hiring.
The Kansas Jayhawks men's basketball program is the intercollegiate men's basketball program of the University of Kansas. The program is classified in the NCAA's Division I and the team competes in the Big 12 Conference. Kansas is considered one of the most prestigious college basketball programs in the country with 5 overall claimed National Championships, as well being a National Runner-Up six times and having the most conference titles in the nation. Kansas is the all-time consecutive conference titles record holder with 14 consecutive titles, a streak that ran from 2005 through 2018. The Jayhawks also own the NCAA record for most consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances with an active streak of 30 consecutive appearances. Another notable active streak for the Jayhawks is they have been ranked in the AP poll for 200 consecutive polls, a streak that has stretched from the poll released on February 3, 2009 poll through the poll released on March 11, 2019, which is the longest active streak in the nation. That streak is 21 behind UCLA's record run of 222 straight from 1966-1980.
The South Florida Bulls football team represents the University of South Florida. The Bulls began playing in 1997 and currently compete in the American Athletic Conference of the Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) within the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). The team plays its home games at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida.

The 2007 Kansas Jayhawks football team represented the University of Kansas in the 2007 NCAA Division I FBS football season. Looking to improve on the previous season's 6–6 overall record, the team finished the 2007 season with a 12–1 overall record. The twelve victories set a new school record. Additionally, the Jayhawks won their first eleven games before their first loss which was the most consecutive wins to start a season in school history. Additionally, the Jayhawks reached a ranking of 2 during their 11-0 start, the highest rank achieved by the team in school history. Their defeat of the Virginia Tech Hokies in the Orange Bowl was the school's first and only Orange Bowl and BCS bowl game victory. Their only loss was versus a Northern Division rival, the Missouri Tigers, in their final regular season game which resulted in a co-championship of the Northern Division, but denied them a trip to the Big 12 Championship Game. For their achievements the team was awarded the Stanley Tools Breakthrough of the Year Award. The Jayhawks were ranked 7th in the final AP poll and received a 1st place vote.
The 2008 Kansas Jayhawks football team represented the University of Kansas in the 2008 NCAA Division I FBS football season. It was the school's 119th year of intercollegiate football. The team was looking to continue the success of the prior season in which they lost only a single conference game and went on to win the Orange Bowl. In the ninth week, after defeating Kansas State 52–21, the Jayhawks became Bowl eligible for the fourth consecutive year, a school record. Also, for the first time in school history, Kansas made back-to-back appearances in a Bowl game after accepting the invitation to play in the Insight Bowl versus the Minnesota Golden Gophers. The team finished the regular season with a victory over their archrival, the Missouri Tigers, in the Border War. The Jayhawks concluded the season with an 8–5 overall record.

The 2011 Texas Tech Red Raiders football team represented Texas Tech University in the 2011 NCAA Division I FBS football season. The Red Raiders were led for the second year by head coach Tommy Tuberville, and played their home games at Jones AT&T Stadium. They are a member of the Big 12 Conference. The 2011 Red Raiders Season finished with a 5–7 overall record, 2–7 in Big 12 play. It was the first losing season for Texas Tech football since the 1992 season. As a result, the Red Raiders failed to qualify for a bowl game for the first time since 1999.
The 2012–13 NCAA football bowl games were a series of college football bowl games. They concluded the 2012 NCAA Division I FBS football season, and included 35 team-competitive games and four all-star games. The stadium was renamed following the Jayhawks 2017 season in December 2017 after a $50 million renovation was completed that was donated by Kansas alumnus David Booth.
