The 2013 Virginia Tech Hokies baseball team is representing Virginia Tech in the 2013 NCAA Division I baseball season. They will play in the 2013 ACC Championship. Head Coach Pete Hughes is in his 7th year coaching the Hokies. They are coming off a 2012 season, in which they had a 34 win season. 11 of them came in the ACC. That marked the fourth straight year with over 30 wins under Pete Hughes. [2]

Tech finished 10th in the final Associated Press poll with a 10–3 record. The team's head coach was Frank Beamer, who was named ACC Coach of the Year.

Angela Tincher O'Brien is an American, former collegiate All-American, retired professional All-Star softball pitcher and coach. She most recently served as the pitching coach at Virginia Tech. She was a 2008 first-round draft selection for the NPF Akron Racers. She is a graduate of James River High School and a 2008 graduate of Virginia Tech. In 2013, she was hired as Virginia Tech's softball pitching coach where she owns numerous school records. She is the ACC career leader in wins, strikeouts, shutouts, innings pitched, strikeout ratio and no-hitters, while also ranking in several records for the NCAA Division I, where she is one of five pitchers to achieve 100 wins, 1,000 strikeouts, an ERA under 1.00 and average double-digit strikeouts for her career.

The Virginia Tech Hokies women's soccer team began in 1980 with two club teams under the guidance of Everett Germain and his two daughter's Betsy and Julie. Virginia Tech's women's soccer became a college soccer program that competes in NCAA Division I in 1993. The team played in the A-10 and the Big East before moving to the Coastal Division of Atlantic Coast Conference in 2014. The team has advanced to the NCAA Women's soccer tournament nine times. Their best appearance is reaching the semifinals in 2013. Their home games are played at Sandra D. Thompson Field.

The Hokies were led by 25th-year head coach Frank Beamer and played their home games at Lane Stadium. They were members of the Coastal Division of the Atlantic Coast Conference. They finished the season with 11–3 overall record, 7–1 in ACC play, as champions of the Coastal Division. They were defeated by Clemson in the 2011 ACC Championship Game, 10–38. They were invited to the Sugar Bowl, where they lost to Michigan, 20–23 in overtime.

They received an at-large bid to the NCAA tournament where they lost in the first round to Alabama.

They received an at-large bid to the NCAA tournament where they defeated Saint Louis and Liberty to advance to the sweet sixteen for the first time since 1965 where they lost to ACC member Duke.
