The West Coast Conference (WCC) — known as the California Basketball Association from 1952 to 1956 and then as the West Coast Athletic Conference until 1989 — is a collegiate athletic conference affiliated with NCAA Division I consisting of nine member schools across the states of California, Oregon, and Washington.
The West Coast Conference men's basketball tournament is the annual concluding tournament for the NCAA college basketball in the West Coast Conference (WCC). The winner of the tournament each year is guaranteed a place in the NCAA Division I men's basketball tournament for that season. Through 2008, the tournament was played on a rotating basis at the home courts of member teams. The 2009 edition was the first played at a neutral site, namely Orleans Arena in Paradise, Nevada, just outside Las Vegas. The semifinals are broadcast nationally on ESPN2 and the championship is broadcast nationally on ESPN.

The 2013 BYU Cougars baseball team represented Brigham Young University in the 2013 NCAA Division I baseball season. Mike Littlewood was in his 1st season as head coach of the Cougars. BYU's baseball team came off a 2012 season in which they were 22–27. The Cougars played their home games at Larry H. Miller Field, part of the Miller Park Baseball/ Softball Complex. Picked to finish sixth in the WCC, BYU stunned most people and finished in a 3-way tie for second place. The Cougars won the #3 seed in the WCC Tournament where they knocked out #1-seed Gonzaga. BYU lost twice to eventual tournament champion San Diego to finish the season 32–21.
The 2014 West Coast Conference baseball tournament was held from May 22 through 24 at Banner Island Ballpark in Stockton, California. The four team, double-elimination tournament, outside of the championship game, which is winner takes all, winner earned the league's automatic bid to the 2014 NCAA Division I baseball tournament. The NCAA approved the use of experimental instant replay rules during the event. These rules are generally only in force during the College World Series, and allow umpires to use video to review fair/foul, home run, and spectator interference calls. The WCC made history in the Gonzaga/ Santa Clara elimination game when they had the first collegiate baseball review in history. The feat would be repeated in the WCC Championship, marking the second time replay has been used in a collegiate baseball game.
The 2014 BYU Cougars baseball team represented Brigham Young University in the 2014 NCAA Division I baseball season. Mike Littlewood acted in his 2nd season as head coach of the Cougars. The Cougars came off a season where they exceeded expectations. After being picked to finish sixth, the Cougars finished in a 3-way tie for second and eliminated regular season champion Gonzaga in the WCC tournament. The Cougars would finish 32–21.

Pepperdine won the four team, double-elimination tournament winner for the second year in a row to earn the league's automatic bid to the 2015 NCAA Division I baseball tournament.

The 2017 West Coast Conference baseball tournament was held from May 25 through 27, 2017 at Banner Island Ballpark in Stockton, California. BYU won the four team, double-elimination tournament and earned the league's automatic bid to the 2017 NCAA Division I baseball tournament.
The 2018 West Coast Conference baseball tournament will be held from May 24 through 26, 2018 at Banner Island Ballpark in Stockton, California. The four team, double-elimination tournament winner will earn the league's automatic bid to the 2018 NCAA Division I baseball tournament.
The 2019 West Coast Conference baseball tournament was held from May 23 through 25 at Banner Island Ballpark in Stockton, California. The four team, double-elimination tournament winner, Loyola Marymount, earned the league's automatic bid to the 2019 NCAA Division I baseball tournament.
The 2022 BYU Cougars baseball team represented Brigham Young University during the 2022 NCAA Division I baseball season. Mike Littlewood began the season as acting head coach of the Cougars for a tenth consecutive season. However, on April 11 Littlewood announced he was stepping away from BYU Baseball due to personal reasons that were undisclosed. Assistant coach Trent Pratt was named acting head coaching for the remainder of the season.

It is the first of four baseball tournaments the WCC has scheduled for the venue. The six team tournament winner will earn the league's automatic bid to the 2023 NCAA Division I baseball tournament.
