Format and rules

For the 2014–15, the Slovenian Third League, 3. SNL, was divided into four regional groups with a total of 52 participating clubs. Three groups (i.e. North, Center, East) were composed of 14 clubs, while the West group only had 10 clubs that participated in the competition. The winners of the regular season in each group played a promotional two-legged play-offs to decide which two teams would be promoted to the Slovenian Second League. Reserve teams of the top division sides were ineligible to promote to the second division, due to the rules of the Football Association of Slovenia, which stipulate that one club's main squad and their reserve team must be at least two leagues apart in the country's football pyramid.

The number of relegated teams from each group was determined by the number of regional MNZ's from which the clubs in all four groups are a part of.

This meant that three teams from 3. SNL North were relegated at the end of the season and replaced by the winners of the fourth tier competitions held separately in MNZ Celje, MNZ Maribor and MNZ Ptuj. The number of relegated teams from 3. SNL Centre and 3. SNL East was two, while only the bottom team was relegated from the 3. SNL West as MNZ Koper and MNZ Nova Gorica managed a combined fourth tier competition.

The Slovenian Third Football League is the third tier of the Slovenian football system. Since 2019 the league consists of two regional groups. They are operated by the Intercommunal Football Associations.

The 2008–09 Slovenian PrvaLiga was the 18th season of top-tier football league in Slovenia. The competition is officially called PrvaLiga Telekom Slovenije for sponsorship reasons. The season started on 19 July 2008 and ended on 23 May 2009.

ŠNK Radgona

Športno nogometni klub Radgona, commonly referred to as ŠNK Radgona or simply Radgona, is a Slovenian football club which plays in the town of Gornja Radgona. As of the 2020–21 season, they play in the 1. MNL, the fifth tier of the Slovenian football pyramid. The club was established in 1946 as FD Gornja Radgona. Since the 2014–15 season the club plays its home matches at the Gornja Radgona Stadium, located in the Gornja Radgona Sports Park, with a seating capacity for 301 spectators. In summer 2016, the club's staff established a reserve team and registered it to the 2. MNL for the 2016–17 season but it was dissolved in summer 2017.

The 2016–17 Slovenian Third League began on 20 August 2016 and ended on 28 May 2017.

NK Serdica

Nogometni klub Serdica, commonly referred to as NK Serdica or simply Serdica, is a Slovenian football club which plays in the village of Serdica. Their colours are black and white. They currently play in the 1. MNL, the fifth tier of the Slovenian football pyramid. The club was founded in 1974. Their home ground is Ob Ledavi Stadium.
