The 2014 Florida Winter Series season was the inaugural and only season for the Florida Winter Series, a non-championship racing series organised by the Ferrari Driver Academy in Florida. The season started with a collective test on 22 January 2014 at Homestead-Miami Speedway, [1] before a total of 12 races were held over 4 race meetings at Sebring International Raceway, Palm Beach International Raceway and Homestead-Miami Speedway.
The Florida Winter Series is a single-seater racing category organised by the Ferrari Driver Academy. The series was launched on October 18, 2013 and held its inaugural season in 2014.
Ferrari Driver Academy is an initiative from Formula One team Scuderia Ferrari to promote young talent inside its own organisation, with several drivers being selected and funded by the team, being under long-term contracts.
Sebring International Raceway is a road course auto racing facility in the southeastern United States, located near Sebring, Florida.
One of the Academy's driver roster, Formula Renault 2.0 Alps competitor Antonio Fuoco, was one of two drivers to win four races along with Nicholas Latifi, who had contested the FIA European Formula Three Championship in 2013. KZ1 karting world champion Max Verstappen won races at Palm Beach and Homestead, as he contested his first single-seater races prior to a campaign in the FIA European Formula Three Championship with Van Amersfoort Racing, while Dennis van de Laar and Tatiana Calderón each won races at Sebring, as they also prepared for their respective FIA European Formula Three Championship campaigns.
Formula Renault 2.0 Alps was a category of Formula Renault open-wheel racing, created by the merging of the Formula Renault 2.0 Middle European Championship and Formula Renault 2.0 Italia.
Antonio Fuoco is a professional Italian racing driver who currently serves as a development driver for the Scuderia Ferrari Formula One team. He previously competed in Formula 2 for Charouz Racing System, and was a former member of the Ferrari Driver Academy.
Nicholas Latifi is a Canadian racing driver. He formerly served as Racing Point Force India's F1 development driver, and in 2019 he became Williams's test and reserve driver.
The series used the Tatuus FA010B chassis. This car is also used in Formula Abarth and other regional championships. The car is built to Formula 3 safety regulations to ensure the drivers safety. The car is powered by a 1400cc Fiat-FPT engine producing 190hp.

Gianmaria "Gimmi" Bruni is an Italian Porsche factory auto racing driver who drove in the 2004 Formula One World Championship for Minardi. He is a GP2 Series race winner and is now racing in the FIA World Endurance Championship, in which he gained the 2013 and 2014 GT Drivers' Titles whilst driving as a factory Ferrari driver. He won the 2008 FIA GT Championship, 2011 Le Mans Series and 2012 International GT Open and took three class victories at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, in 2008, 2012 and 2014. He also was successful at the 2009 and 2015 24 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps, 2010 12 Hours of Sebring and 2011 Petit Le Mans.

Richard Westbrook is a British professional racing driver noted for his success in racing Porsche and International sports cars. As a junior, he attended St Joseph's College, Ipswich. Palm Beach International Raceway is a motorsports facility located west of Jupiter, Florida. The facility has a quarter-mile drag strip, a 2-mile road course, 7/10-mile kart track as well as mud racing tracks. The road course at Palm Beach International Raceway is a 2-mile, 10-turn circuit. The track was constructed of hot-mix asphalt and set on an aggregate base. It is 40-feet wide with a 1/3-mile section measuring 80-feet.
