2014 IAAF World Relays

The 2014 IAAF World Relays were held in May 2014 in Nassau, Bahamas. The event was the first edition of the IAAF World Relays. There were five events for each gender. In men's and women's 4 x 100 metres and 4 x 400 metres, the event served as a qualification event for the 2015 World Championships in Athletics.

Thomas Robinson Stadium football stadium

Thomas Robinson Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in Nassau, Bahamas. It is currently used mostly for soccer matches. The stadium currently has a capacity of 15,000 people, but has the ability to be expanded to hold 23,000 people. The stadium is also the home of the College Football bowl game the Bahamas Bowl.

The women's 4 × 400 metres relay at the 2016 European Athletics Championships took place at the Olympic Stadium on 9 and 10 July. Prior to the event, Great Britain had the 2016 leading European time of 3:28.62, and they kept their form throughout the competition, setting a new leading European time in the heats and the new 2016 world leading time of 3:25.05 in the final. The team that won gold consisted of Emily Diamond, Anyika Onuora, Eilidh Doyle and Seren Bundy-Davies. The silver medal was won by France, and the bronze by Italy, both setting their season's best times.
